L’objectif de cette enquête était d’informer sur les changements de comportement de la population envers les espaces ouverts et verts dans le contexte de la pandémie de Coronavirus. L’enquête s’est déroulée lors de la première vague d’infections au printemps 2020, lorsque le (semi) confinement était le plus contraignant. L’échantillon des individus interviewés en ligne compte 1.022 personnes âgées de 16 ans et plus, dont 251 résidents du canton de Genève et 771 du canton de Zurich. Les résultats révèlent l’importance des espaces de loisirs locaux pour le bienêtre, mais ils indiquent aussi que, dans les deux régions d’enquête, les habitant-e-s ont bénéficié à des degrés divers, des espaces ouverts et verts. Ainsi à Genève, 60 % des personnes interrogées déclarent avoir visité « moins ou beaucoup moins » ces espaces, alors qu’à Zurich, elles n’étaient que 30 % à avoir restreint leurs visites à la suite de l’annonce par les autorités de mesures de confinement. En effet, les conditions sanitaires étaient plus sévères à Genève, mais d’autres conditions sociales, territoriales et paysagères régionales peuvent également expliquer certaines variations.
