The state of alarm caused by Covid-19 has mobilised the population’s digital social participation in social networks. Likewise, the relevance acquired by Social Services as a support for the social and health crisis has generated an unprecedented social debate on Twitter about the reality of these services in Spain. The analysis of this phenomenon is the focus of the present article, in which the tweets on Social Services and Covid-19 published during the confinement have been analysed using the qualitative analysis software Atlas.Ti. The results show the precariousness of social services and that a change in the management and financing model of these services is required to guarantee benefits and satisfy fundamental social rights.
This paper addresses the reality of foreign teenage motherhood in Spain. Its importance lies not in its quantitative dimension but the implications for a growing number of girls who face motherhood at an early age. Thus, after analysing the determinants of such pregnancies, the characteristics of the phenomenon in Spain are discussed highlighting the apparent inconsistencies between this reality and the regulatory framework. In analysing the protection policies we restrict ourselves to Andalusia as a territorial demarcation. Finally, we analyse the possibilities of social work intervention aimed at supporting young mothers in order to overcome the disadvantages they face.KEYWORDS: Foreign children; maternity; pregnancy; protection policies; legislation; social work.
The profile of good university teaching. An approach based on gender of the students. AbstractThis article discusses the relevance and the role to be played by the lecturer and proffessor in education at university a very controversial issue at present and subject to constant review and change to adapt to the new European Higher Space. The aim is to hear the views of students about what they considered to be a good professor (and lecturer), who must go beyond quality surveys raised by many universities. Students should and can provide assessment criteria on the profile and the role proffesors played as professionals at university beyond the existing closed questionnaires. We used a quantitative methodology as part of a more comprehensive approach and mixed Innovation Project "The profile of good university teaching from the perspective of students." The main results show the relevance in matters related to the knowledge and basic strategies with which the professor/lecturer must have. The perception of male and female students does not differ much on basic issues and prioritized to develop the profile of good university profesor/lecturer.
