a) The control patients which received no presurgical treatments.(b) Those patients that were given a dental prophylaxis 5-7 days prior to gingivectomy.(c) Those patients that received 2 50 mgms. Mysteclinf every 6 hours starting 24 hours before surgery and continuing 24 hours after gingivectomy. An extra 2 50 mgms. capsule of Mysteclin was given just before the surgery was started.(d) Those patients that were treated with a dental prophylaxis 5-7 days before surgery and then oral antibiotics were given before and after surgery. This latter group combines the presurgical treatments of groups b and c.
