Introducción. Los exámenes de admisión a la educación superior son evaluaciones sumativas de alto impacto para los aspirantes, por lo que requieren evidencia de validez para que las inferencias que se hagan de los resultados sean apropiadas. La Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) es la institución de educación superior más solicitada del país, anualmente ingresan menos del 10% de los aspirantes por examen de selección. Métodos. Se realizó un análisis de las fuentes de evidencia de validez del examen, con el modelo conceptual de Messick, Kane y los Estándares de la AERA-APA-NCME, con la información generada de la aplicación de febrero 2019 a 148.407 sustentantes. Resultados: Se identificaron evidencias de validez de contenido, proceso de respuesta, estructura interna, relación con otras variables y consecuencias del examen. Los resultados revelan que el examen de ingreso tiene suficiente evidencia de validez para afirmar que es sólido como herramienta de medición del conocimiento. Discusión. Por su relevancia social, es fundamental que las instituciones que usan este tipo de instrumentos documenten sus evidencias de validez. Es necesario realizar investigaciones periódicas longitudinales sobre el uso del examen, ya que las condiciones sociales y educativas del contexto de la población de aspirantes son dinámicas.
La Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) posee una matrícula diversa y basta. En el contexto de una institución de Educación Media Superior (EMS) y Educación Superior (EMS), el seguimiento de las trayectorias escolares de sus estudiantes, al considerar la transición entre estos niveles educativos, es una valiosa herramienta que permite identificar de manera precisa y adecuada, las necesidades de acompañamiento que se requieren a fin de abatir el abandono y el rezago escolar. En este estudio se explora el desempeño escolar y la eficiencia terminal de los estudiantes de la generación 2009 del bachillerato de la UNAM (ENP y CCH), durante su paso por dicho nivel educativo, así como su interrelación con el desempeño escolar y la regularidad durante el primer año de la licenciatura. De un total de 34 070 estudiantes, el análisis de sus trayectorias escolares durante la EMS presentó abandono y rezago considerables, además de una baja eficiencia terminal (56.6%). Asimismo, se observa que uno de cada cuatro estudiantes que ingresa al bachillerato de la UNAM y lo concluye, es regular al término del primer año de la es. Derivado de estos resultados se hace evidente la importancia de seguir realizando este tipo de estudios, a fin de identificar de manera precisa las necesidades existentes dentro de estos niveles educativos en la UNAM, así como la inminente necesidad de desarrollar e impulsar estrategias institucionales que permitan amortiguar el impacto que genera la transición de la EMS a la es en los estudiantes. Introducción: se presentan los resultados de la aplicación de una rúbrica para evaluar presentaciones orales de proyectos en un posgrado en educación médica. Método: el instrumento evaluó habilidades verbales, no verbales, ayudas visuales, contenido y organización. Se obtuvo evidencia de validez de sus resultados con análisis factorial de componentes principales; de fiabilidad, mediante alfa de Cronbach; desde el punto de vista psicométrico a través del modelo de Crédito Parcial de Rasch. Resultados: se identificaron 3 grupos de habilidades en la presentación: diseño, control interno e interaccióncon la audiencia. Alta fiabilidad para todo el instrumento, correcto funcionamiento de las opciones de respuesta e independencia entre estimaciones de parámetros de ítems y parámetros de habilidad. Conclusiones: la rúbrica es útil para evaluar las presentaciones de los estudiantes del posgrado en cuestión, dado que es un instrumento confiable y con evidencia de validez.
