PurposeIn this era of digital technology, the banking sector has revolutionized its operations by using web-based Internet banking services. However, the success of these financial services is dependent on Internet banking user continuance intention instead of initial adoption. The current study develops a theoretical framework based on three well-known theories, namely the expectation–confirmation theory, self-determination theory (SDT) and the commitment trust theory, to investigate Internet banking user continuance intention towards use of Internet banking services.Design/methodology/approachFollowing positivist paradigm, a research survey was conducted towards Internet banking users of commercial banks. In response, 355 valid observations were retrieved and used for data analysis. For data analysis, this study has used a latest statistical approach, namely structural equation modelling (SEM).FindingsThis study has confirmed that factors underpinning the commitment trust theory, SDT and expectation–confirmation model have significant impact on Internet banking user continuance intention. The research model explained 68.4% of variance in determining Internet banking user continuance intention, which is substantial. The effect size analysis (f2) indicates that perceived usefulness is the most important factor among all other exogenous variables. The predictive relevance of the research model was found substantial Q2 50.3%. These findings confirmed that the research model has substantial power to predict Internet banking user continuance intention.Practical implicationsFrom a managerial perspective, findings of this research give deeper insight into financial advisors, bank managers and policy- makers to understand human motivation and expectation–confirmation factors in order to retain customers and gain return on Information Technology (IT) investment. Additionally, results suggest that attention should be given on user trust, which in turn boosts user intention towards continuance use of Internet banking services. Extension of the self-determination framework contributes to theory and augments e-commerce literature, especially in a post-adoption setting.Originality/valueThere are several studies that investigate Internet banking user pre-adoption behaviour. Therefore, less is discussed about the Internet banking user’s post-adoption behaviour. Findings of this study help financial advisors to comprehensively understand which factor influences Internet banking user behaviour towards continue use of Internet banking services.
The purpose of this study is to explore the role of implementing e-supply chain management (E-SCM) on the competitive position of companies and whether implementing customer relationship management (CRM) can affect the relationship between E-SCM and competitive advantage. To achieve this objective, a quantitative approach was utilized. A total of 300 questionnaires were distributed where 243 questionnaires were returned, with 17 incomplete questionnaires being excluded, leaving 226 usable questionnaires. PLS-SEM software was used to analyze the data. The results of this study demonstrate the imperative role of implementing E-SCM and CRM on creating a competitive advantage for firms. It also shows that CRM mediates the relationship between E-SCM and competitive advantage, suggesting that utilizing different technologies can help firms better communicate with their customers and thus better serve them which in turn will enhance customers’ satisfaction and thus boost the competitive position of the firm.
<p>This study aims to identify the role of cloud computing in achieving success in e-governance in Jordan. This paper investigates the effect of four accomplishment aspects (availability, flexibility, cost saving and scalability) for executing cloud computing technology in telecommunication companies on Jordan e-governance implementation. A questionnaire was developed to collect data from respondents working for the three-main public mobile telephone network operators: Zain, Orange and Umniah. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences program was used in the descriptive analysis of the responses. The results show that all four success factors have a high level of impact, separately and together, on e-governance in Jordan. Cost saving has the highest impact, followed by scalability, availability and flexibility. Based on these results, the study makes some suggestions for further research that could enrich understanding of the implementation of cloud computing and its effect on egovernance in Jordan.</p>
The goal of this study is to determine the effect of sustainable human resource management (SHRM) on organizational performance (OP) and human capital (HC). 275 employees from various public organizations in Jordan were surveyed. SmartPLS 3 was employed to evaluate the data and test the hypotheses. Herein, it discovered a substantial association between GHRM (green rewards and compensation, as well as green training and development) and OP, as well as a significant relationship between GHRM and HC, as well as a significant relationship between HC and OP. Additionally, HC plays a crucial role in mediating the link between GHRM and OP. The study underlines the importance of introducing GHRM practices into the workplace in order to promote positive green behavior among employees, hence increasing the firm's operating profit.
