Objetivo: Correlacionar pruebas rápidas para la detección de HBsAg con un ECLIA, utilizadas en dos periodos y conocer los costos adicionales derivados de los falsos positivos. Metodología: Se analizaron los resultados positivos a HBsAg de 934 muestras procesadas del 21 de octubre al 20 de diciembre del año 2021, utilizando la prueba rápida SD HBsAg WB (Multi) (01FK11W) BIOLINE (grupo A) y 990 muestras procesadas del 21 de diciembre del año 2021 al 21 de febrero del año 2022 utilizando la prueba rápida HBsAg 01FK1, 01FK11 Bioline™ (RAPID DIAGNOSTIC TEST Abbott), comparando con un ECLIA. Resultados: Los resultados de pruebas rápidas del grupo A presentaron mejor correlación con el ECLIA, en comparación a las pruebas del grupo B; las últimas, presentaron mayor porcentaje de falsos positivos y un valor predictivo positivo menor. Conclusión: Las pruebas rápidas para la detección del HBsAg utilizadas de la marca (SD HBsAg WB (Multi) (01FK11W) BIOLINE) tuvieron una completa correlación con la prueba automatizada, a diferencia de las pruebas rápidas de la marca HBsAg 01FK1, 01FK11 Bioline™ (RAPID DIAGNOSTIC TEST Abbott), lo cual tuvo impacto en el costo total del diagnóstico debido a la necesidad de realizar otros marcadores serológicos para establecer el diagnóstico final.
