As perspectivas decoloniais visam a despertar um olhar de dentro à América Latina, partindo de uma abordagem que se distancie dos ideais e das hegemonias eurocêntricas e estadunidenses, como uma condição libertadora, em diálogo com uma pedagogia crítica e emancipatória. O objetivo deste artigo é refletir sobre algumas iniciativas artísticas e alguns projetos culturais, em diferentes linguagens e estéticas, que despertem para a valorização, o reconhecimento e fortalecimento das expressões latino-americanas. Para tal, além de discutir as perspectivas decoloniais e emancipatórias, intenta dialogar acerca das implicações decorrentes dos dispositivos tecnológicos e de sua relação com a educação informal, bem como a cultura de massa e sua relação com as práticas artísticas e educação popular, manifestadas em seus espaços. No final, percebe-se como estão articulados os diferentes conhecimentos e saberes epistêmicos e culturais, e o quão ricas são as representações e significações artísticas na América Latina em suas relações de contextos sociais.
Entendendo o papel fundamental que a gestão escolar desempenha para aarticulação do ensino de música na Educação Básica, esta pesquisa teve porobjetivo analisar os processos de introdução, construção e reverberações doensino de música na rede privada a partir da visão da gestão, baseando-se nanecessidade cultural de sua abordagem e embasada na legislação que a tornaobrigatória. A pesquisa foi realizada em cinco escolas particulares da SerraGaúcha e a escolha se deu por entender que a rede possui, a princípio,melhores condições de proporcionar um ensino de qualidade, principalmentepelos aspectos estruturais. Constatou-se que mesmo no setor privado ela não égarantida em sua totalidade, sendo trabalhada em maioria como atividadeslaterais ou extracurriculares, não estando presente de forma regular. Na maiorparte, existe a construção de um discurso da sua importância, mas de formagenérica, falta a prática concreta do seu ensino.
