Purpose: Injectable Platelet Rich Fibrin (I-PRF) is an efficient method in periodontal wound healing and regenerating bone; thus, the purpose of the current research was to assess radiographic and clinical of I-PRF around the immediate dental implant in the esthetic zone with xenograft. Material and methods: Twelve patients with unrestorable tooth/teeth in the esthetic zone were selected. Patients were selected randomly and split into two groups; Group I (test group; n = 6) patients that received immediate implant placement using I-PRF and xenograft and Group II (control group; n = 6) patients that established immediate implant placement with xenograft only. Clinically, the pain was evaluated for each patient by using the visual analog scale (VAS). Assessment of healing progress was conducted by modified gingival index (MGI)and modified plaque index (MPI) at 1 st , 3 rd , and 6 th months after implant placement. Radiography, the assessment of osteointegration, can be conduct by bone density at 1 st and 6 th month after implant placement. Results: Regarding the change in both MPI and MGI, there was statistically a significant difference. The study group showed a higher Change than the control group. At 1,3 and 7 days, there was a statistically non-significant difference in mean VAS in the two groups P=0.18. Regarding Change in Bone Density, the study group showed a higher Change than the control group with a statistically significant difference(P=0.002). Conclusion: The use of I-PRF with immediate dental implant placement offers a new promising safe, compatible, and effective method for managing the healing process around immediate dental implants.

Purpose: In an attempt to reduce side effects of cancer chemotherapeutic drugs with the use of the natural product such as clove oil, as it considered that natural resources had always been a better supplement than chemicals in drug manufacture and disease treatment especially that chemicals often have hazardous short or long term side effects. The present examination was done to think about the impact of blend of clove oil with 5-fluorouracil versus clove oil with cisplatin in the treatment of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma cell lines. Material and methods: All tested sets were examined to evaluate cytotoxic effect of tested drugs by MTT assay, cell cycle analysis and level of apoptosis by flowcytometery. Result: Cell cycle analysis demonstrated that the combination of cisplatin and clove oil exhibited an increase in the percentage of apoptotic cells during the Pre-G1 phase recording 33.15%, compared to that treated with a mix of clove oil and 5-fluorouracil recording a percentage of apoptotic cells recording 16.12% while in control cells the percentage of apoptotic cells at Pre-G1 phase recording 0.92% (P-value<0.01). And also the combination of cisplatin and clove oil exhibited an increase in the percentage of cell growth arrest during the G2/M phase recording 30.1%, compared to that treated with a combination of clove oil and 5-fluorouracil recording a percentage 22.51% while in control cells the percentage of cell growth arrest at G2/M phase recording 7.11% (P-value < 0.01). Conclusion: The cell cycle analysis demonstrated that the blend of cisplatin and clove oil displayed an expansion in the level of cell development capture amid the G2/M stage contrasted with other tried and it showed an expansion in the level of apoptotic cells amid the Pre-G1 stage contrasted with other tried sets.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the amount of root resorption of first molars, as well as periodontal tissue changes associated with the application of RMI. Methods:Methods: Methods: Methods: Eleven female patients (mean age; 13-15 years) were included in the study. They had ANB angle average 5 degrees, with anterior open bite 1-3 mm. Root resorption and bone density were assessed using DBS win software, analyzing serial periapical radiographs of the first molars. Periodontal tissue changes were evaluated by measuring the probing depth, and sulcus bleeding and plaque indices. The records were compared with those of healthy, nonorthodontically moved first molars. Results:Results: Results: Results: The upper first molar was intruded 1.9 mm, with 0.63 mm root resorption. While the lower molar intruded 0.5-0.7 mm, with root resorption of 0.7mm. No significant change in the periodontal variables was found. The upper first molar is more favorable to be intruded, with significantly less apical root resorption, than the lower one.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of mono and combined therapy of low dose doxycycline (LDD) and Bisphosphonate (BPs) on ligature-induced periodontitis in Diabetic rats by immunohistochemical analysis of the expression of osteoprotegerin (OPG) and by immunohistomorphometric analysis. Methods: Fifty adult Wistar rats were divided into five study groups as follows: 1) group 1 = diabetes control; 2) group 2 = diabetes + periodontitis; 3) group 3 = diabetes + periodontitis + LDD; 4) group 4 = diabetes + periodontitis + clodronate; and 5) group 5 = diabetes + periodontitis + LDD + clodronate.LDD and clodronate were given as a single agent or as combination therapy during the 7 days of the post-experimental periodontitis period.On day 7, the rats were sacrificed, the mobility of the toothwas recorded, and block biopsies were removed. The gingival tissues were analyzed histologically and immunohistochemically for expression of OPG. Data analysis was performed statistically by Kruskal-Wallis and post hoc Tukey tests. Results: The greatest mean value was recorded in group5, followed by group 4, then group 3. Using Tukey's post hoc test; there was a significant difference (p<.0001) between groups1, 2, 4 and 5 respectively while non significant difference was found between group 1and 3. Comparing group 2 with groups 3, 4 and 5 a significant difference was found. Comparing groups 3 with groups 4and 5 non significant difference was found between groups 3 and 4 while a significant difference was found between groups 3 and 5. Objectives: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of platelet rich fibrin (PRF) on the healing of intra-bony defects. This evaluation was accomplished Clinically and radiograp-hically on patients. Subjects and Methods: A total of twenty one intra-bony defects in 14 patients were randomly divided into three groups; group A, treated with minced PRF placed inside the defects and covered with a PRF membrane, group B, treated with minced PRF placed in the defects and covered with a collagen membrane and group C, treated with xenograft placed in the defects and covered with a collagen membrane (control group). Clinical parameters including probing pocket depth (PPD), clinical attachment level (CAL) and radiographic parameters including linear radiographic measurements were measured at day of surgery (baseline) then 6 months post-operatively in all groups. Results: Clinical and radiographic results showed statistically significant differences between baseline and post operatively in all the groups. However inter-group comparisons showed no statistically significant differences after 6 months. Conclusion: The use of PRF as a regenerative material in managing periodontal intrabony defects resulted in pocket depth reduction, clinical attachment gain and defect fill with comparable results to bone graft and collagen membrane.
