The development of information technology has not only brought positive values in communication behavior but also a negative impact on digital literacy such as the spread of hoaxes, terrorism, and cyberbullying. Youth group is the most vulnerable group exposed to the bad influence of digital media. This paper presents the result of research on the religious digital literacy of religious organizations activism at the state Islamic senior high school (MAN) in Bandung. This study aims at knowing the digital literacy ability of religious organization activism at these schools in Bandung. This research is a quantitative study which uses questionnaire as a method of collecting data. The findings of this study show that the digital literacy of religious organization activism at the state Islamic senior high school (MAN) in Bandung is at the level of finding, using, and disseminating obtained religious information accessed through websites for the purpose of preaching. Social media is a digital platform often accessed and preferred by students instead of general and religious knowledge websites. Motivation of students in choosing these websites is because they like to search information as entertainment, easiness to visit, lots of choices, interesting languages, images and illustrations.
Myths as folklore considers true and sacred. Myth is one of informal education to build the character. Lessons and advices through stories are a wise and intelligent way to educate. This paper exploresthe values of religious education in the folklore of the Mentawai people. This literature studywith folkore approach shows thathumansrepresentation is the reflection of the Mentawai beliefs. TheSikerei story in Sitakkigagailau and Pagetasabbau revealed some values. First, the value of spirit and soul by making offerings commonly called "punen".Second, the "spirit" protects sikereiand considersas the father of sikerei. Thesikerei spirit able to see and to communicate withspirits and the supernatural. Third, the harmonious concept is to havesustainable and harmonious relationship between the real and the supernatural world.
The Ngareremokeun ritual is a form of indigenous community belief in the Kasepuhan Cisungsang who live around the Mount Halimun Salak National Park (TNGHS) Lebak Regency, Banten Province toward customary law as the embodiment of ancestral mandates. The Ngareremokeun tradition is also evidence of various cultures acculturation without eliminating another cultural element. This paper aims to understand the meaning of moderation as reflected in the Ngareremokeun ritual and to show its relevance to the context of the community that owns the tradition and Indonesian society in general. This descriptive study emphasizes on qualitative data with a structuralist approach that aims to describe the moderation values reflected in the Ngareremokeun ritual. Data was collected through interviews with cultural actors and direct observation on the Ngareremokeun ritual. The results of this study indicate that the Ngareremokeun ritual is the evidence of knowledge resource and cultural expression of indigenous people in the Kasepuhan Cisungsang to maintain the sustainability of their traditions. The meaning of the symbols embodied in this tradition, the moderation values in the Ngareremokeun ritual is appropriate with the four indicators of religious moderation, namely national commitment, tolerance, non-violence, and accommodating to local culture. The moderation value can also be found in the attitudes and behavior of the Ngararemokeun’s actors and the indigenous people in Kasepuhan Cisungsang.
This paper aims at showing the result of the research on the variety of religious reading materials and religious orientation based on religious reading materials of Islamic Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam/PAI) teachers in Bandar Lampung. Religious reading materials is one of the sources of knowledge being read by Islamic Education teachers as an effort to improve the quality of their knowledge. Utilizing mixed methods with psychology of religion approach and discourse analysis, this study aims to know the variety that PAI high school teachers in Bandar Lampung for the enrichment of teaching contents at schools and to find the linkages between religious reading materials with the religious orientation of PAI teachers in Bandar Lampung. The findings of this research show that the orientation of PAI high school teachers in Bandar Lampung was more categorized as intrinsic and a few was categorized as extrinsic. Based on the religious reading materials of PAI high school teachers in Bandar Lampung, the teachers who are categorized as intrinsic are more varied in terms of topics and authors compared to the teachers who are categorized as extrinsic.
<p><em>This paper is motivated by some studies that suggest that the majority of students in Jakarta have a narrow and exclusive religious understanding, and tend to agree in a violent action to resolve the problem of religion and morals. This research is a descriptive research that more emphasis on qualitative data analysis and using reception approach. Reception analysis is used in order to describe a religious reading material within religious extra-organization activists, and describes the reception of student activists on the reading material that focuses on interpretation and the motivation of students in selection of reading materials. This research suggests that ROHIS activist</em><em> in </em><em>SMAN</em><em> 48 </em><em>East </em><em>Jakarta</em><em> And SMA Labschool</em><em> East </em><em>Jakart</em><em>a</em><em> </em><em>prefers to read some books that the genre were Islamic novels and the books about women, which had simple language, easily understanding, and communicative. Student motivation in choosing reading material is more to support their worship activities, either obligatory or sunnah, that relate to their daily activities.</em><em></em></p>
