There has recently been a call for revisiting the effect of technology on guest experience in hotels. Technology has been gradually and usually applied to the hospitality industry. Hence, the present study identifies the effects of the agreement of the guest room technology adoption the perspective of hotel guests on their choice of the hotel. A questionnaire survey was adopted to collect data from guests in the four and five stars' hotels in Luxor and Aswan governorates to investigate the impacts of individual-level importance on the technology acceptance in guests' rooms. This study aims to investigate the special effects of advanced technology in hotels' rooms on guest loyalty. This study observed in-room technologies and identified the ones realized to be mission critical for the hotel guests. It also determined the differences in guest empowerment technology preferences and expectations across generations and travel frequency. Moreover, it investigated whether the quality of in-room technologies impressions guests' decision in choosing a hotel. The data were collected through personal meetings with the guests, hotels, as well as Google drive, hotels mails and social media. (500) questionnaires were distributed, only (428) samples were correctly ready to be analyzed. Important finding of this study was that a plurality of respondents informed that the availability of new guest-room technologies would favorably impact their decision to choose a hotel.
The city of Hurghada is one of the most important tourist attractions on the local and international levels, Due to its natural and human characteristics, which are considered attractive factors for tourist activity. Views of the importance of the hotel sector and its impact on the environment, most of the international hotels tend to rationalize water consumption as a requirement of development in the hotel sector. The aim of this study is to identify the extent to which hotels in Hurghada are committed and raising awareness among decision makers and employees to rationalize water consumption. The study community consisted of (25) five star hotels in Hurghada. The Questionnaires were distributed to managers and heads of (25) hotels, while twenty-two questionnaires were accepted but three were rejected. In light of the results of the study has reached a number of recommendations, including awareness rising for all employees of the hotel, rationalizing the proper use of water and various rationalization methods, as well as training courses for all sections of the hotel in rationalizing the use of water. In all parts of the hotel, the best means should be used to support the application of best environmental practices within the hotels and interest in spreading awareness of the rational use of water and rationalization methods through various media.
The aim of the present study is to examine the effect of tourism and hotel activity on the employees' identity. The aim of which is to answer the implications of these variables, as they are important topics that need a convergence of views among the academic lecturers and experts of tourism and hospitality, and then test possible implementation in the Egyptian environment, which will be formed by the hotels and tourism companies in Hurghada. The questionnaire is the method used to collect the opinions of the guests in a sample of the 12 five-star hotels and 10 tourism companies same hotels sample in Hurghada. The target population for this study was the guests. The study was conducted from December 2020 to Abril 2021.. about the subject of the study. The study concluded with a set of theoretical and practical conclusions that identified the response of the tourism and hotel activity and its effect on improving the employees' identity of tourism destination and hospitality services from the guests' point of view. The most important recommendations are: Work to establish an identity in the field of tourism and hotels in order to avoid negative social effect. Inclusion of tourism and hotel activities with the identity of the Egyptian community in the tourism and hotel programs is mandatory Urging adherence to the religious and societal values of the Egyptian destination is mandatory. Designing brochures with illustrations to highlight the identity of the community, its customs and traditions, to be distributed to tourists. The necessity of urging adherence to the religious and societal values of the Egyptian tourist destination.
