Se estudió la germinación en semillas de Amomyrtus luma, Myrceugenella apiculata, Myrceugenia planipes y Ugni molinae después de períodos variables de almacenamiento con y sin pericarpo.Se hace una breve caracterización fitogeo gráfica y ecológica de las especies investigadas, cuya germinación se estudió con siembras en placas Petri a temperatura ambiente.Los valores de germinación más altos se presentaron en Myrceugenia planipes y los más bajos en Ugni molinae. En las otras especies se comprobó una disminución pro gresiva del porcentaje de germinación al pro longarse el almacenamiento. Las semillas de Myrceugenella apiculata mantenidas en el fru to conservaron su poder germinativo durante más tiempo. En cambio, las de Amomyrtus luma presentaron una mayor capacidad ger minativa al ser almacenadas limpias, fuera del pericarpo.
