Los desórdenes musculoesqueléticos (DME) son una de las enfermedadeslaborales más comunes en todo el mundo y se pueden ser producidos debidoa condiciones sociodemográficas como la edad o el sexo; también porexposición al riesgo biomecánico. Elriesgo biomecánico se asocia a aquellas posturas o movimientos que generandaño tisular como posturas prolongadas, movimientos repetitivos y esfuerzofísico. Los DME afectan la salud, la productividad y el desarrollo de lasactividades diarias de los trabajadores; por otro lado, para las organizacionesse generan altos costos por incapacidades laborales y tratamientosterapéuticos. El propósito de este artículo es determinar la relación entre lasintomatología de los DME con la edad, el sexo y los factores de riesgobiomecánicos como los movimientos repetitivos, el levantamiento manual decargas y las posturas mantenidas, prolongadas e incómodas. Para eldesarrollo de la investigación se realizó un cuestionario nórdico dondeparticiparon 208 trabajadores que realizan labores de oficina en la ciudad deBogotá, Colombia. A cada trabajador se le preguntó sobre sus característicassociodemográficas, condiciones de trabajo y si presentaba dolor en lossegmentos corporales: cuello, hombros, brazos, manos y muñecas. El análisisestadístico se realizó con pruebas de regresión logística binaria usando elsoftware estadístico R Studio. Se determinó una relación estadísticamentesignificativa entre género y los DME en el cuello (p 0,005), hombro izquierdo(p 0,006) y brazo derecho (p 0,010). La edad se relacionó con lasintomatología de DME en el hombre derecho (p 0,037). Las posturasprolongadas se asociaron con DME en el cuello (p 0,003) y mano-muñecaderecha (p 0,017). Las posturas incómodas mostraron correlación con DMEen el hombro derecho (p 0,018) y con la mano-muñeca izquierda (p 0,021).En conclusión, en esta investigación los DME en la población administrativaestán determinados principalmente por el género, las mujeres fueron másafectadas que los hombres, ya que presentaron DME en el cuello, hombroizquierdo y brazo derecho. Además, la postura que demanda el trabajo influyoen la aparición de estos desordenes, gracias a que, las posturas prolongadas seasociaron con dolor en el cuello y mano-muñeca derecha y las posturasincómodas mostraron correlación con el hombro derecho y la mano-muñecaizquierda
Este capítulo tiene como objetivo analizar los modelos de madurez de la gestión de la seguridad y salud en el trabajo descritos en la literatura científica. Para ello, se realizó una revisión sistemática de artículos publicados entre el 2000-2017 en Science Direct, Scopus y Redalyc y literatura gris para identificar los modelos de madurez de gestión de la seguridad y salud en el trabajo existentes, su propósito y estructura. Se identificaron 10 modelos de madurez, 8 enfocados a la cultura de seguridad, a los procesos de la gestión de la seguridad y salud en el trabajo, a la madurez de la gestión organizativa de la SST, al proceso de aprendizaje en SST, a la integración de los estándares del sistema de gestión de seguridad en la industria minera y la implementación de programas ergonómicos, y 2 dirigidos a la gestión del riesgo y la complejidad. Se concluye que son pocos los modelos desarrollados, ninguno de ellos se ha desarrollado para el sector servicios entre ellos, el sector salud y el sector educativo.
El presente artículo de revisión sistemática de literatura se desarrolló con el objetivo de identificar los principales modelos de sistemas integrados de gestión (SIG) para pequeñas, medianas y grandes empresas; esto por medio de un análisis bibliométrico que permitió determinar cuáles son los modelos utilizados para la integración de sistemas en cada uno de los tipos de empresas analizados. Se entienden los SIG como un conjunto único de procesos interconectados que incluyen dos o más sistemas de gestión; estos fueron explorados a través de investigación de tipo cualitativo y descriptivo, en la búsqueda, recolección, depuración y análisis de información de las bases de datos Science Direct, Scopus, Redalyc y Google Scholar. Con base en los resultados, se encontró que las estrategias de integración se diseñan de forma general y no enfocadas en tamaños de organizaciones, es decir, que estas son implementadas para cualquier tamaño de empresa. Como conclusiones se evidenció que se enfocan en sectores como energía, combustibles, cerámica, alimentos, medicamentos, metalmecánico, entre otros.
La pandemia COVID-19 afectó al mundo y llegó a Colombia con el primer caso a la ciudad de Bogotá el día 6 de marzo del 2020. Este ha registrado un sin número de contagios de esta nueva enfermedad provocando cambios abruptos en la sociedad, en general con las restricciones y nuevas condiciones de vida que debe enfrentar la sociedad. El sector salud ha sido uno de los que ha enfrentado directamente la pandemia, siendo pionero en la mejora y recuperación de la sociedad frente a la emergencia sanitaria. El estudio realizado tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis de las condiciones laborales en el sector salud, estudiando las causas, consecuencias y afectaciones generadas por la pandemia del virus SARS-CoV-2 durante los años 2020 y 2021 en la ciudad de Bogotá, Colombia. Para su desarrollo, se realizó una investigación cualitativa con el fin de conocer, comprender y explicar el comportamiento que generó la pandemia por el COVID-19 sobre el sector salud de la ciudad de Bogotá, Colombia. De esta manera, se logró conocer que las condiciones laborales de gran parte de los trabajadores del sector salud se vieron afectadas en diferentes aspectos como las jornadas laborales, discriminación y rechazo, incremento de trastornos mentales, remuneración económica, entre otros. Por lo expuesto anteriormente, se recomienda que la sociedad desarrolle una mayor empatía, conciencia y responsabilidad social frente a las cuestiones de salud pública debido a la pandemia del Covid-19, protegiendo al personal de la salud, tomando acciones correctivas con los protocolos estipulados por la OMS.
