À partir de novembre 2018 et pendant plusieurs mois, la vie politique et médiatique en France a été marquée par le mouvement dit des Gilets jaunes. Initialement dirigé contre la hausse du prix des carburants, ce mouvement social s’est développé à travers des blocages de routes, l’occupation permanente de ronds-points et des manifestations hebdomadaires dans les grandes villes françaises. Par ses traits atypiques, le mouvement des Gilets jaunes questionne la sociologie de la politisation, des mouvements sociaux et de l’apprentissage des activités militantes. L’objectif de ce débat est de réunir des chercheurs (Z. Bendali, R. Challier, M. Della Sudda et O. Fillieule) ayant mené des enquêtes sur les actions et les collectifs des Gilets jaunes. Ces enquêtes permettent de comprendre les modalités d’apprentissage pratique de l’action collective et de politisation dans et par la participation au mouvement des Gilets jaunes.

Résumé En s’intéressant à la principale ligue féminine française du début du siècle dernier, la Ligue patriotique des Françaises (LPDF), il s’agit de mettre au jour l’apparente contradiction entre, d’une part, des discours conservateurs sur le plan politique et, d’autre part, les pratiques parfois novatrices de certaines Catholiques. La LPDF, qui comptait plus d’un million et demi en 1933, a représenté pour de nombreuses Catholiques un lieu de politisation qui explique, pour partie, le comportement électoral des femmes lors des premières consultations. Sous la contrainte de la loi de 1901, et au nom de la défense de la religion et du conservatisme, les militantes ont contribué à la modernisation du système politique en s’appropriant certaines techniques de la démocratie partisane de masse et en reconvertissant des savoir-faire acquis à travers leur expérience religieuse. Apparaît ainsi au début du XX e siècle la femme politique moderne, conservatrice certes, mais capable de financer les candidats, de formuler des propositions politiques, voire de promouvoir certaines réformes sociales.
