Adina is a software that supports analysis of both pre-defined models and analysis of the models defined independently. The paper presents a comparative analysis of the distribution of effective stress in simple elastic structures made of incompressible hyperelastic Mooney - Rivlin and Zahorski materials. To carry out numerical calculations for the Zahorski material it was necessary to make modifications of 2D and 3D libraries in the ADINA software which has been completed in the authorial process. Conclusions are presented in the conclusions at the end of the study.

This article presents the results of the research program aimed to analyze the opportunities for using waste ceramic pots for the production of watertight concrete. The mechanically processed crushed ceramic pots were added to the concrete mix in two ways: as a microfiller and as a recycled fine ceramic aggregate. The ceramic meal with a fraction below 0.25 mm was obtained by processing crushed pots using a mill and disintegrator. The pulverized ceramic material was added in 10%, 20%, and 30% of the cement mass. Recycled fine ceramic aggregate with a particle diameter up to 4 mm was created using only industrial mill. The aggregate obtained from pots was used to replace 20%, 30%, and 40% of the sand mass. Altogether, seven different mixes were created. The testing covered following properties: compressive strength, water absorption, and depth of water penetration. Concretes modified with the ceramic meal obtained higher compressive strength, lower water absorption and lower values of depth of water penetration in comparison to reference concrete. Mixes with recycled fine ceramic aggregate were characterized by slightly higher compressive strength in comparison to the reference concrete and similar values of water absorption and depth of water penetration.

Many byproducts and waste materials with pozzolanic properties can substitute natural raw materials in cement production. Some of these waste materials like fly ash and blast furnace slag are commonly harnessed by cement industry. Others are of seldom use due to limitations of the very centralized cement production systems currently in use. In the authors opinion, it is necessary to change this system to enable efficient utilization of various waste materials that are available locally (e.g., white and red ceramics). In this study, a new partially centralized system of cement production is proposed. The adoption of a new system would significantly reduce the volume of long-distance transportation and enable utilization of numerous locally available waste materials that are currently dismissed. The last stage of production of the ready-to-use cement would take place in situ. The cement would be produced on demand and be immediately used for concrete production on-site. The research program was conducted considering the importance of the quality of cements obtained in the new way, substituting up to 12% of its mass by white ceramics. The research program was proof of concept of the proposed cement production system. It was shown that the quality of “in situ cement” does not differ from standard cements.

Abstract. In presented paper the composite wall structure made of concrete and Zahorski/Mooney Rivlin rubber cross pads subjected to impact loads was investigated. Mentioned rubber cross pads were assumed to be inserted or injected in specially formed holes during the production process. Moreover, two different impact loads were taken into further considerations -pressure and concentrated force. Such impact loads due to the small time step size allowed observation of mechanical wave propagation in analyzed structure in the form of stress plots. On the basis of composite wall comparison with the solid concrete wall it could be stated that the mechanical wave propagation was significantly damped via inserted/injected rubber cross pads. Discussed problem was solved with the use of finite element method using ADINA program.

Przedstawiono analizę numeryczną wpływu impulsu siły działającej na ścianę wykonaną z bloczków betonowych z gumowymi wkładkami. Bloczek betonowy ma zatopione w trakcie realizacji procesu technologicznego wkładki gumowe o odpowiednio dobranym kształcie. Dzięki temu ściana posiada właściwości umożli-wiające redukcję impulsu siły działającej prostopadle do jej powierzchni. Impuls siły powoduje powstanie fal mechanicznych, których propagację można zaobserwować, analizując rozkład naprężeń w przekroju poprzecznym ściany. Mierząc wartości naprężeń na powierzchniach czołowych rozpatrywanego modelu ściany, można ocenić skuteczność zastosowanego rozwiązania w porównaniu do ściany bez gumowych wkładek. Analizę numeryczną wykonano w programie ADINA.Słowa kluczowe: materiał hipersprężysty, Mooney-Rivlin, kompozyt, MES, Adina WPROWADZENIE W obecnych czasach kompozyty są powszechnie stosowane ze względu na lepsze właściwości mechaniczne. Do najpopularniejszych materiałów wykorzystywanych w kompozytach używanych w budownictwie należą beton oraz stal. Materiały te w połączeniu ze sobą znacznie efektywniej przenoszą naprężenia ściskające i rozciągające. Istotne w rozwiązaniach konstrukcyjnych są również kompozyty oparte na połączeniu stali z gumą, stosowane np. na łożyska stalowo--gumowe. Pozwalają one na redukcję drgań powstałych w następstwie ruchu koło-wego (drogowego lub szynowego). We współcześnie stosowanych rozwiązaniach technologiczno-materiałowych dotyczących kompozytów tylko niewielka ilość badań dotyczy połączenia betonu i gumy.Za prekursorów badań materiałów gumowych uważa się Mooneya oraz Rivlina, którzy opracowali matematyczny model opisu gumy [1,2]. Dalsze badania gum prowadził Zahorski, przedstawiając zmodyfikowany opis zachowania się gumy pod wpływem przyłożonych obciążeń [3,4]. Badania propagacji fali w kompozytowych materiałach warstwowych zostały omówione w pracy [5]. The goal of this study was to see if the meaning of work and personal values of Canadian Anglophone public sector male middle‐managers would be more individualist (e. g., more achievement‐oriented in the business world) than those of Francophone managers, who were predicted to be more collectivist (i. e., more concerned with affiliation and family concerns). This was done using a modified version of Triandis's (1972) antecedent‐consequent method. Managers gave logical associations to 21 work and personal values, reporting antecedents (what leads to) and consequents (what results from) of progress toward each value. In Study 1, 86 Anglophone and 82 Francophone managers provided antecedents and consequents to the values in a free‐response questionnaire. In Study 2, a different but comparable group of 80 Anglophone and 94 Francophone managers completed a multiple‐choice questionnaire based on high‐frequency responses given in Study 1. Results from chi‐square analyses (no differences between groups for 86% of the value stimuli) and Pearson's correlation for profile similarity (r = 0.92, p <0.01) showed that, in general, Anglophone and Francophone managers in this study shared a similar individualist‐collectivist understanding of most of the 21 values. This overall similarity was discussed in terms of the social change that has occurred in Québec over the past 15 years as well as the growing similarity in business school curricula and the work experience of Anglophone and Francophone managers.
