A partir de los resultados de un estudio etnográfico sobre la experiencia cotidiana de vivir con VIH en el Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires, Argentina, este artículo discute enfoques de comportamiento que reducen la sexualidad de las personas viviendo con VIH a un problema de seguridad y protección. Combina las categorías de construcción social y hegemonía para abordar la sexualidad como un proceso de construcción a la vez individual y social, que supone intercambios complejos modelados por relaciones de poder y dispositivos de regulación social. Argumento que la experiencia de vivir con VIH pone al descubierto dimensiones de la subjetividad y contextos de vida atravesados por desigualdades sociales y violencias, y conjuntos sociales sujetos a relaciones históricas de subalternidad y continuas formas de estigmatización y discriminación social. En este entramado de desigualdades y estigmatizaciones, la sexualidad se configura más como dominio de peligro, restricción y represión, que de exploración y placer. Finalmente, que la confrontación cotidiana con metáforas sociales tensa relaciones, prácticas e identificaciones de género.
Este trabajo es parte de la Línea Género y Prevención de un Programa de Investigación sobre Construcción Social del VIH-SIDA. Sintetizamos en este artículo resultados del estudio etnográfico en mujeres de 15 a 35 años de sectores populares, residentes en el cordón sur de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, área de mayor incremento de casos de VIH-SIDA, mayor pobreza, degradación y violencia urbana. Los resultados destacan que entre "saber" y "actuar" median complejos procesos que entrelazan representaciones estigmatizantes y generizadas del VIH-SIDA como "problema de otros" y modalidades de relación social y sexual, atravezadas por estereotipos y roles de género. Desde ahí sostenemos que las propuestas de prevención deben: partir del conjunto de la práctica social y, especificamente, de las relaciones de género; articular estrategias relacionales entre mujeres y varones; y promover en ellos la reflexión crítica en torno de núcleos clave de su vida cotidiana y su participación activa en la construcción de relaciones y prácticas sociales de reciprocidad y equidad. Más aún cuando la creciente precarización de la vida social intensifica la histórica vulnerabilidad de las mujeres de sectores populares, a la vez que supone crecientes contextos de interacción social que apelan y dependen del papel socioeconómico y simbólico de las mismas.
Desde diciembre de 2015 la implementación simultánea de políticas neoliberales por parte del gobierno del presidente Macri en áreas claves de la vida social, ha resultado en una drástica transferencia de ingresos a los sectores concentrados constituyéndose en una vertiginosa experiencia de precarización de la vida y pérdida de derechos para los sectores populares; y, al mismo tiempo, en formidables demostraciones de resistencia y movilización social que impactan los espacios y temporalidades de la vida cotidiana de agrupamientos políticos y movimientos populares.En esta presentación busco realizar un primer análisis y pensar una serie de problemáticas a partir del seguimiento de los primeros diez meses de gobierno de Cambiemos, 1 en el marco de un estudio etnográfico en co-labor en sucesivas etapas desde 2011; pero, y esto cabe ser resaltado, realizándose en un contexto radicalmente diferente. En ese sentido, debo plantear una disculpa, ya que, de alguna manera, toda esta presentación está marcada por la provisionalidad y sobre todo, por una subjetividad que, para ser coherentes con nuestro lunfardo, diría es "una subjetividad al palo" que nos cruza a todos, incluidos por supuesto los investigadores. Una subjetividad marcada por la incertidumbre, el miedo, la desconfianza, el enojo, y en la que los aspectos emocionales no pueden ser dejados de lado.El marco más amplio de este trabajo son las relaciones e interacciones entre Estado y sectores subalternos, focalizando en la vida cotidiana a partir de un enfoque antropológico político centrado en la categoría de hegemonía y los conceptos de experiencia, saber y tradición. Un punto de partida conceptual es considerar que la desigualdad y la precarización social deben ser entendidas al mismo tiempo como un proceso estructural y una experiencia subjetiva (Farmer 1997; Fassin, 2007,
