The article considers the resource and socio-economic assessment of the state of hunting in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Regional normative documents on the traditional sectors of the North were studied, the current state of hunting use in the republic was considered, modern problems of the industry and the development of measures for its sustainable development were identified. The main goal of the study is to study the issues of rational organization of production, reproduction of biological resources and ecology, the main priorities and trends of development are set. The novelty of the study consists in the development of a set of organizational and economic recommendations aimed at creating conditions for the transition to the sustainable development of traditional industries in the republic.
Article is devoted to features of sustainable development of territories of traditional environmental management in the conditions of implementation of investment projects in South Yakutia. The main objective of a research consists in revealing features of sustainable development of the territory of traditional environmental management on the basis of interaction of three sectors of economy. The methodology of a research considers specific internal factors of social and economic development of settlements, a cycle of development of investment projects and gives an idea of economy of northern territories as unity of three sectors – traditional, industrial and state. Methods of the studying and the analysis of statistical documentation included in observations, poll are applied. The principles of sustainable development of territories of traditional environmental management at implementation of investment projects are specified.

Изучены региональные нормативные документы, посвященные традиционным отраслям Севера, рассмотрено современное состояние отрасли оленеводства, охотпользования и рыболовства в Республике Саха (Якутия), выявлены основные проблемы и предложены основные направления их совершенствования. Для решения поставленных задач были использованы методы сравнительного анализа, статистического анализа, анализ нормативной правовой базы. Основной целью исследования является изучение традиционных отраслей северного хозяйства в Республике Саха (Якутия), расставлены основные приоритеты и тенденции развития. Новизна исследования состоит в разработке комплекса организационно-экономических рекомендаций, направленных на создание условий для перехода к устойчивому развитию традиционных отраслей в республике.
The Arctic zone is a unique part of Russia. This is a territory of a specific type of development and plays a strategic role from the point of view of national security and economy. The Arctic zone takes up 52.2% of the territory of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) and is characterized by distinct extreme conditions of human activities. The most pressing problems include absence of developed transport infrastructure, unsatisfactory state of power supply, decrease in the rate of production of all economic sectors and decline of traditional kinds of subsistence activities. This results in a decrease in the population of the Arctic zone. The population of 13 Arctic districts has decreased 2.2 times since 1990: from 148.2 thousand people in 1990 to 67,714 people as per January 01, 2019. The article describes traditional subsistence activities of indigenous peoples in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). The authors analyzed regional regulatory documents dedicated to Arctic indigenous peoples, as well as to their traditional subsistence activities, reviewed the current state of reindeer herding, hunting provision and fishery in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), identified the key problems, and proposed main ways of correcting them. They used methods of comparative analysis, statistical analysis, and analysis of the corpus juris to resolve these problems. The study is novel in the development of a set of business recommendations aimed at creating conditions for a transit to sustainable development of traditional subsistence activities in the republic.
