Article is devoted to features of sustainable development of territories of traditional environmental management in the conditions of implementation of investment projects in South Yakutia. The main objective of a research consists in revealing features of sustainable development of the territory of traditional environmental management on the basis of interaction of three sectors of economy. The methodology of a research considers specific internal factors of social and economic development of settlements, a cycle of development of investment projects and gives an idea of economy of northern territories as unity of three sectors – traditional, industrial and state. Methods of the studying and the analysis of statistical documentation included in observations, poll are applied. The principles of sustainable development of territories of traditional environmental management at implementation of investment projects are specified.
Article is devoted to the analysis of problematic issues of influence of the industry on traditional economy. The methodology of a research considers internal factors of social and economic development of settlements and gives an idea of economy of northern and Arctic territories as unity of three sectors – traditional, corporate (market) and transfer (state). The problem of influence of the corporate (industrial) sector on traditional economy on the example of three-sector model of social and economic development of the village of Iyengra of Neryungrinsky district of RS(Ya) is considered. Methods of the studying and the analysis of statistical documentation included in observations, a conversation and poll are applied. An assessment is given to social and economic development of the rural settlement, the traditional industry of economy of the village, the population relation to integration processes, state of environment. Conflicts of interest between the industry and the population, a common ground for establishment of mutual consent are specified.
The Ethnological Impact Assessments (EIA) procedure in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is used to protect the interests of indigenous minorities living in areas where extractive companies are planning to operate. Rural women are active in the process of exercising conscious, free choice in the planned activities of industrial companies. Industrial companies, when seeking the consent of indigenous minorities to develop resources, agree to conduct ethnological research and enter contracts for compensation payments. The role of women in the compensation process is virtually ignored. The article discusses economic and socio-cultural aspects of indigenous peoples’ sustainability and the possibility of “structural restoration” of their local system. The proposes ways to preserve traditional knowledge, women's proposals for assuring wellbeing and quality of life for rural families.
