195 ChemInform Abstract Twelve title compounds of type (III) are prepared and tested for their antiinflammatory, motor and antihypertensive activity. The derivatives (IIIa)-(IIIc) are found to exhibit remarkable antiinflammatory effects; moreover, (IIIa) causes decrease in motor activity with sedation. The derivatives (IIId) and (IIIe) are found to produce a rapid fall in blood pressure.
ChemInform Abstract The derivatives (IVa) and (IVf) can alternatively be prepared in one step by reaction of the hydrazines (I) with PhCOOH/POCl3. Tests of the title compounds (III) and (IV) for their biological activity lead to the following results: (IIIa), (IIIb), (IVa), (IVd), (IVe) exhibit promising antiinflammatory effects; (IIIj), (IVb)-(IVd), (IVj) decrease the motor activity (46-75%) with mild sedation; (IVa)-(IVc), (IVf), (IVg) produce a rapid fall in blood pressure.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
