National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) is a pan-India electronic trading portal that networks the existing APMC mandis to create a unified national market for agricultural commodities. The study investigated the knowledge level of e-NAM registered farmers about the features and functioning of e-NAM in Duggirala market of Andhra Pradesh during 2019-2020. A total sample of 120 farmers was randomly selected from six mandals viz. Kollur, Kollipara, Bhattiprolu, Tenali, Mangalagiri and Duggirala of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh. The data were collected with pre-structured interview schedule. The knowledge on functioning of e-NAM was measured in three phases viz. gate entry, quality assaying and e-bidding. Majority of the farmers had knowledge on details of registration fee, details of quality assaying fee and provision of choice to accept or reject the bid in the gate entry, quality assaying and e-bidding phases of e-NAM respectively. Further, it was observed that majority of the farmers had medium level of knowledge on functioning of e-NAM. Knowledge scores were significantly related with education, extension contact, market orientation, income orientation, mass media exposure, risk orientation and social participation. All the selected eleven variables of the profile put together explained about 59.90 per cent variation in the knowledge of respondents. There is a large scope for imparting training to the farmers about various aspects of e-NAM in order to enhance its utilization effectively and efficiently.
The present investigation was done to study the Constraints faced by the women labourers in agriculture and suggestions to overcome them in of Andhra Pradesh. Three districts from the three Regions of Andhra Pradesh, Srikakulam district from North Coastal Region, Guntur district from Coastal South Region and Kurnool district from Rayalaseema Region of the Andhra Pradesh state were purposively selected based on the highest number of agricultural labourers in the Region. Case study research design was followed for the study and a sample of 180 respondents was drawn.
Rythu Bharosa Kendram is One Stop Shop for supplying Government Certified Agri Inputs (Seeds, Fertilizers & Pesticides), Animal Husbandry & Fisheries Inputs to the farmers and has an attached workshop / Knowledge Center for giving scientific Agri Advisories to the farmers. It is integrated with a Call. The study investigated the effectiveness of services of RBK perceived by farmers in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh during 2021-2022. A total sample of 120 farmers was randomly selected from twelve villages viz. Kadiyam, Vemagiri, Muramanda, Kalavacherla, Rajanagram, Velugubanda, Geddanapalli, Bhupalapatnam, S. thimmapuram, Bhatnavalli, Rollapalem and Nadipudi of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. The data were collected with structured interview schedule. The perceived effectiveness of the services of RBKs was studied. It was observed that half (50.83%) of the farmers perceived that services rendered by RBKs were moderately effective followed by highly effective (34.17%) and less effective (15.00%) categories. It can be recommended to the government and policy makers for improvement, restructuring, reforming and modifying the services from RBKs to enhance its effectiveness further.
