The study was conducted on the e-NAM (online marketing platform) to study the perceived impediments faced by stakeholders of e-NAM of Guntur mandi in Andhra Pradesh in 2019-20. Data were collected from 100 respondents, of which 30 were farmers, 30 traders, 5 FPOs, 25 commission agents, and 10 e-NAM offi cials from the market using a specially designed interview schedule. Later constraints were prioritized through Garrett’s ranking technique. The fi ndings highlighted that the lack of awareness, depending on the commission agent for money, and the complicated, time-consuming sale process were the signifi cant critical constraints for farmers; diffi culty in paying on the same day of trade, not satisfi ed with the quality assaying report given by e-NAM and lack of infrastructure were the crucial constraints for traders; weighing of produce only after declaring winners list of bids is critical constraints for commission agents; lack of commission agents and traders co-operation to promote e-NAM is the major constraint for e-NAM offi cials. The study concluded that the bottom-up approach should be followed before framing policies because, theoretically, e-NAM looks excellent but at the ground level, there are many constraints. “Individual produce, common marketing policy” should be followed by farmers, the authenticated body should replace the role of commission agents, sale process should be made simple and quick. Stringent laws should control malpractices by traders and commission agents. The state government should encourage e-NAM even if it reduces state income by removing multiple levies with the one nation, one market, and one levy policy. The e-NAM awareness programs for the farmers are quintessential to boosting the performance of e-NAM.

Rythu Bharosa Kendram is One Stop Shop for supplying Government Certified Agri Inputs (Seeds, Fertilizers & Pesticides), Animal Husbandry & Fisheries Inputs to the farmers and has an attached workshop / Knowledge Center for giving scientific Agri Advisories to the farmers. It is integrated with a Call. The study investigated the effectiveness of services of RBK perceived by farmers in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh during 2021-2022. A total sample of 120 farmers was randomly selected from twelve villages viz. Kadiyam, Vemagiri, Muramanda, Kalavacherla, Rajanagram, Velugubanda, Geddanapalli, Bhupalapatnam, S. thimmapuram, Bhatnavalli, Rollapalem and Nadipudi of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. The data were collected with structured interview schedule. The perceived effectiveness of the services of RBKs was studied. It was observed that half (50.83%) of the farmers perceived that services rendered by RBKs were moderately effective followed by highly effective (34.17%) and less effective (15.00%) categories. It can be recommended to the government and policy makers for improvement, restructuring, reforming and modifying the services from RBKs to enhance its effectiveness further.

The poultry producer companies provide trainings and extension services to their members. The present study was conducted in 2021-22 in Madhya Pradesh state to assess the impact of poultry Producer Company on knowledge level of smallholder women poultry farmers of company. Ex-post facto research design was used. Multistage sampling was done for the selection of respondents. Data was collected from randomly selected, 140 members and 140 non-members, through a structured interview schedule. Propensity score matching was applied at 0.2 tolerance level, to reduce extraneous variable effect and finally 96 members and 96 non-members respondents were selected for data analysis and interpretation of results. The majority of the members had medium to a high level of knowledge of poultry housing, brooding, litter management and feeding while medium to low level of knowledge of healthcare management, whereas, most non-members had a medium to low level of knowledge of poultry housing, litter management, feeding, and healthcare, and medium to high level of knowledge of brooding. There was a significant difference in knowledge of members and non-members at 0.1% level of significance regarding housing, litter management, and feeding and interpreted as poultry producer company had positive impact on knowledge of member poultry farmers.
