Telepon pintar sudah menjadi gaya hidup masyarakat saat ini. Selain untuk komunikasi, telepon pintar juga digunakan sebagai alat pencari informasi yang cepat serta bebas, tidak bergantung tempat dan waktu. Pencarian informasi berdasarkan posisi pengguna. Pencarian informasi tempat yang berdasarkan posisi dan waktu dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan location based service. Permasalahan yang timbul ialah akurasi pembacaan lokasi dari alat yang ada dalam telepon seluler tersebut, yaitu global positioning system (GPS). Pada saat pembacaan, pergeseran titik posisi pengguna dapat terjadi sehingga posisi yang diperoleh tidak berada tepat pada posisi aktual di peta digital. Penelitian ini mengukur akurasi pembacaan dari GPS yang berada dalam perangkat telepon pintar Android. Data diambil berdasarkan studi kasus pada posisi lokasi sekolah SMA Negeri yang ada di Palembang. Pengambilan data dengan membuat aplikasi yang dipasang dalam perangkat telepon pintar yang secara langsung dapat mengambil, mengolah, sampai menampilkan data posisi pada peta digital di telepon pintar pengguna. Setelah data didapat, pengolahan data dengan rumus Haversine dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pergeseran lokasi sebagai nilai akurasi alat. Pergeseran lokasi dengan membandingkan hasil pembacaan alat GPS yang berada dalam perangkat Android terhadap GPS komersial (GPS Garmin). Hasil akurasi pergeseran pembacaan yang diperoleh adalah sebesar 10.9489 meter.<br /><br />Kata Kunci: akurasi, Android, global positioning system, location based service
The increasing development of mobile technology makes some technology capable to running on multiple mobile platforms. One of them is Location Based Service. Location Based Service is a service provided by the position of the user. One of the utilization of Location Based Service technology is a publication of public information. This information may include important information such as hotels, gas stations, ATMs, and Event. Location Based Service is very dependent on the user's position, therefore, the accuracy of component positioning should be accurate enough. By default configurations android GPS accuracy is not very good, needed tweaking to minimize errors in accuracy. To measure the accuracy shift used haversine formula. Haversine formula is a method to measure the distance between two points on the sphere based on its latitude and longitude. Based on test results without tweaking the maximum accuracy shift is 30 meters while with tweaking only 11 meters. Average accuracy shift without tweaking is 18 meters down to 8 meters using tweaking. Thus the process of tweaking can improve the accuracy of GPS.
Unlicensed mining has been a worldwide issue, including several regions in Indonesia, such as Southeast Sulawesi Province and East Java. The issue that will be examined in this paper is the policies to overcome the unlicensed mining in Southeast Sulawesi Province and East Java. In order to answer the issue, the type of research is socio-legal, by using the primary data in the form of interview result and secondary data in the form of documents the data were obtained from field study and study of literature. The research result shows that the effort to overcome the unlicensed mining by the Government of Southeast Sulawesi Province and East Java are different. The Government of Southeast Sulawesi Province applies the alternative policies such as the unlicensed mining control, aside from the law enforcement policy conducted by the police, prosecutor, and court. This differs from the Government of East Java which views that the law enforcement policy as the only means to overcome unlicensed mining. Unlicensed mining control conducted in Southeast Sulawesi could be an alternative policy since it delivers benefit such as the gaining of valid data of the unlicensed mining location, increasing the community awareness, as the instrument to protect the environment and so forth.
