<p>W Polsce powojennej czołową postacią był Bolesław Bierut, prezydent RP w latach 1947–1952, od 1948 r. I sekretarz Komitetu Centralnego Polskiej Zjednoczonej Partii Robotniczej. W rozprawie podjęto temat propagandowego obrazu obchodów 60. rocznicy urodzin Bieruta, ukazanego w artykułach „Trybuny Ludu”, naczelnym organie prasowym PZPR. W dniach 18–19 kwietnia 1952 r. opublikowano 30 wzmianek poświęconych obchodom, w tym listy gratulacyjne i potwierdzenia wykonania zobowiązań podjętych dla uczczenia wydarzenia przez zakłady pracy i osoby prywatne. Oficjalne ceremonie miały stanowić element kultu jednostki Bieruta. Widoczne są także podobieństwa z uroczystościami związanymi z osobą Józefa Stalina, które wpłynęły na krajowe obchody, a poszczególne etapy przygotowań były nawiązaniem do rytuału odbywającego się na Kremlu. Opis przedstawianych wydarzeń był przesiąknięty propagandą wzorowaną na tej rozpowszechnionej w Związku Radzieckim. Celem było pokazanie, w jak uroczysty sposób społeczeństwo czciło rocznicę, wizja ta nie była jednak bezkrytycznie przyjmowana przez czytelników.</p>
<p>Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie założeń i form realizacji polityki inspekcyjnej Wojewódzkiej Komisji Kontroli Partyjnej Polskiej Partii Robotniczej w Lublinie w strukturach partyjnych szczebla powiatowego na Lubelszczyźnie w latach 1945–1948. Rozważania te umożliwią stwierdzenie, w jaki sposób w niższych strukturach organizacji partyjnej funkcjonował organ, którego kompetencje kontrolne w terenie budziły kontrowersje głównie z powodu groźby dublowania działań z instytucjami KW. Ten drobny, zdawałoby się, wycinek z działalności PPR może okazać się istotny przy rozważaniach wokół terenowych przedstawicielstw „partii robotniczej” w pierwszych latach po zakończeniu II wojny światowej.</p>
Zakończenie działań wojennych wiązało się z początkiem dążeń Polskiej Partii Robotniczej do objęcia kontroli w każdej dziedzinie życia. Droga do tego celu wymagała przekształcenia organizacji konspiracyjnej w partię zdolną do rządzenia państwem. Utrzymanie posłuszeństwa członków było jednym z priorytetów jej kierownictwa. Organem zajmującym się wykrywaniem i karaniem przewinień była Centralna Komisja Kontroli Partyjnej, której podlegały komisje wojewódzkie. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie rysu socjologicznego działaczy PPR, którzy znaleźli się w spectrum zainteresowania Wojewódzkiej Komisji Kontroli Partyjnej w Lublinie, przy wykorzystaniu metod statystycznych obrazujących m.in. ich wiek, zawód czy staż partyjny. Analiza wydanych postanowień i ich motywów pokaże, jakie przewinienia były rejestrowane, jakie stosowano wobec nich kary oraz ułatwi zrozumienie problemów partii w pierwszych latach "władzy ludowej". Większość z 1358 spraw pochodziła z terenu Lublina, w którym WKKP miała największe wpływy. Najwyższy odsetek karanych stanowili młodzi działacze o krótkim stażu partyjnym, przeważająca ich część utrzymywała się z pracy fizycznej, choć wielu z nich zajmowało stanowiska partyjne i administracyjne. Niemal taką samą liczbę spraw sfinalizowano wykluczeniem i umorzeniem postępowania, część zgłoszeń nie była zgodna z prawdą. Członkowie komisji starali się wypełniać obowiązki wychowawcze, o czym świadczyła liczba kar porządkowych. Najbardziej rozpowszechnionymi przewinieniami były pijaństwo, naruszanie dyscypliny partyjnej i nadużycia materialne, częste
