<p>Este trabalho objetivou caracterizar as mulheres que não procuraram o resultado do exame Papanicolaou em uma Unidade Básica de Saúde no município de Cajazeiras – Paraíba, correlacionando os resultados com a idade, início da atividade sexual (IAS) e o número de parceiros, conforme resultados positivos e negativos para Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis (IST). A amostra foi de 113 exames, coletados no período de janeiro de 2010 a dezembro de 2015. Verificou-se que a faixa etária que prevaleceu dentre os laudos positivos foi de 14–24 e de 36–46 anos, com 8 casos em cada; nos laudos negativos e mais um caso de alteração celular possivelmente não neoplásica, a faixa etária que prevaleceu foi de 25–35, com 25 casos. A média de idade do IAS em mulheres com resultados positivos e negativos foi 18.13 (±3.11) anos e 19.49 (±4.57) anos, respectivamente. Quanto ao número de parceiros sexuais, nos resultados positivos a média foi 2.03 (±1.37) parceiros, e nos negativos foi 1.72 (±1.21). Logo, o perfil de mulheres com idade inferior a 24 anos, IAS precoce e maior número de parceiros teve maior frequência nos laudos positivos para IST, estabelecendo uma relação entre estes fatores e a sua prevalência.</p><p><strong></strong><strong>Palavras chave</strong>: Papanicolau, IST, câncer de colo uterino, medicina preventiva.</p>
<p>Este trabalho é uma pesquisa documental, exploratória, com abordagem quantitativa e teve como objetivo evidenciar as infecções sexualmente transmissíveis a partir dos resultados do exame Papanicolau não procurados por mulheres em uma Unidade Básica de Saúde, no município de Cajazeiras – Paraíba, no período de janeiro de 2010 a dezembro de 2015. A amostra foi composta por 113 resultados de exames Papanicolau, entre eles 30 (26%) tiveram resultado positivo para Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis (ISTs), sendo que um deles apresentou positividade para duas ISTs. O resultado negativo para a doença foi encontrado em 82 (73%) dos laudos, ressaltando que houve mais 1 (1%) resultado de alteração celular possivelmente não neoplásica. Dentre os resultados positivos para ISTs, 22 (71%) corresponderam aos casos de Vaginose e 9 (29%) aos casos de Candidíase. Denota-se que existe um número acentuado de mulheres que não retornaram à Unidade Básica de Saúde estudada para recolher os laudos do exame Papanicolau que apresentaram ISTs. Evidencia-se a relevância e necessidade do retorno das pacientes para recolherem o resultado do exame e a apresentação do mesmo ao profissional competente que, em casos positivos, poderá iniciar o tratamento precocemente, impedindo a transmissão e evitando outras infecções e prováveis complicações.</p><p><strong></strong><strong>Palavras-chave</strong>: Papanicolau, Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis, rastreamento.</p>
RESUMO -A alta incidência de parasitoses na população pediátrica brasileira é uma questão de saúde pública com morbidade significativa e manifestações avaliáveis laboratorialmente. Este estudo objetivou investigar a prevalência de enteroparasitas em 18 crianças atendidas pela Creche Pró-Infância Francisca Francimar Santos Pinto, em Aurora -Ceará, por meio de hemogramas e exames parasitológicos de fezes. Foi observada uma alta prevalência de cistos do gênero Giardia, com correlação positiva com o aumento de eosinófilos. Além disso, 44,4% das crianças apresentaram valores abaixo do normal na Concentração de Hemoglobina Corpuscular Média (CHCM), sugerindo anemia de causa incerta, enquanto 66,7% das crianças parasitadas apresentaram eosinofilia. Recomenda-se a melhoria das condições de higiene e orientação dos responsáveis sobre medidas preventivas na creche, bem como a inclusão da análise laboratorial de amostras fecais na rotina de avaliação clínica para diagnóstico precoce e tratamento adequado.
