À l’heure actuelle, de nombreux discours promeuvent l’ empowerment des personnes déficientes intellectuelles, les encouragent à participer activement à tous les aspects de leur vie. Qu’en est-il de leur implication réelle au sein des dispositifs, au-delà de la participation ? Nous nous centrerons sur leur implication dans la recherche en sciences sociales et montrerons comment notre recherche se distingue de la pratique habituelle. Nous nous intéresserons à l’oppression de ces personnes et à l’évolution ces dernières années. Nous montrerons pourquoi notre projet permet un changement dans l’ordre social existant avant d’y poser un regard critique en identifiant les limites et les freins.

Dans chaque numéro, elle présentera les activités et orientations d'un laboratoire en France ou à l'étranger.Ce numéro 53 propose un texte coproduit par des collègues du laboratoire GERiiCO de l'université de Lille 3 qui témoignent de leur volonté d'inscrire la communication des organisations comme thématique de recherche à part entière en information-communication, spécifiée par les ancrages historique, institutionnel et géographique qui sont les leurs.
