This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of AI software, Automated Writing Evaluation (AWE), in identifying grammatical errors and increasing writing abilities among Malaysian public university students, as well as their perspectives on AI software in enhancing writing skills. The outcomes of this study reveal that students have good attitudes toward the implementation of AWE. The findings have implications for using artificial intelligence (AI) software (AWE) in ESL writing classes. Moreover, future scholars are anticipated to do similar research to increase the effect and relevance of this work. Research on NAO robot-mediated Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) therapy intervention via telerehabilitation network has been gaining popularity in recent years. It eliminates the distance barrier between a therapist and a child with autism by allowing remote physical interactions between them thus enabling the therapy to be conducted even in a long-distance. In general, the system requires a robot, a child with autism, and a helper which normally is a close kin to be present at one place and a specialized therapist at another. Connected via remote communication technology such as the Internet of Robotics Things (IoRT), a remote therapist is able to monitor the therapy session through robot vision or its sensors and if necessary, provide physical feedbacks through robotic features such as voice or body movements. One of the system’s important aspects is the therapist’s interface controlling the robot. The interface must be user-friendly to non-programmer user yet having enough technical features to control a sophisticated NAO robot. Choregraphe, an official NAO robot platform and interface to program and control the NAO robot, has many advanced programming functions. Thus, it is considered quite intimidating to the non-programmer user, in this case, a specialized therapist. As an alternative to this interface, this paper reviews the suitability of commercially available software, Zorabots, as the therapist’s interface to monitor and control NAO Robot in telerehabilitation environments.
This research utilised the practise-based method of art focussing on the hero’s journey and his inquiry in the search for information and knowledge related to Hikayat Raja Pasai; a Malay mythological narrative, for the conceptual framing within phenomenology and methodology (practise-based research). Therefore, this research unfolds the creative process revealing the gaps in reading the narrative into drawing practise, animation making, and hermeneutic phenomenology method as an important instrument in practise-based research.
In the maturing Malaysian market environment, co-branding is becoming a more common type of growth strategy. Despite being a scheme that could drive companies dedicated to it, some problems emerged tainting the scheme's original goals. Via searches in online databases such as ScienceDirect, Scopus, SpringerLink, and ProQuest ABI/ INFORM Collection, this paper identified related studies published between 1994 and 2019. This search strategy yielded 22 literatures that meet the conclusion requirements. Four patterns of co-branding issues in the hospitality industry which are management, marketing, product and service, and customer were found using content analysis.
This research covers the understanding of metaphor through the association of representational objects to art to enhance the value and aesthetic in understanding artworks. Artwork can be defined in two forms of format which are representational and non-representational. These two forms of format emphasise modernism. This research discusses the found objects which represent the metaphor of ‘belief’ as well as possess artistic creation while reflecting history, functionality and being contextualised in 2D Artworks. The concept of ready-made was introduced in 1917 when Marcel Duchamp introduced the idea of explaining the capability of physical properties, psychological reflection, and the existence of ideology to imitate symbol, and metaphor as a root in the new paradigm in conceptual practises. The materials ‘speak’ by itself in representing ‘realism’ as a decision to reinforce perception of objectivity and questioning the tradition of representational practice in the era of modernism. This quality of ideas leads to abstraction and complex understanding of the language and the communication of art. This research explains two methodologies in referring to objects and subjects in visual art. These methodologies are metaphor in semiotic approach and psychoanalytic in perspective. In semiology, metaphor involves and needs one mode of significance which is the ‘signifier’ in which it refers to the primary subject (literal) and also expressed in the secondary subject (figurative).
