<p>Objetivo: analisar como os idosos utilizam os serviços de saúde oferecidos em nível primário de atenção à saúde, na perspectiva da promoção da saúde e prevenção de agravos relacionados ao envelhecimento. Materiais e Métodos: pesquisa qualitativa realizada com idosos de 60 anos ou mais, cadastrados no ambulatório de Geriatria/Gerontologia de um hospital-escola, na Zona da Mata Mineira. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevista semiestruturada com dez idosos, em ambiente domiciliar, no período de junho a julho de 2014. Resultados e Discussões: o acesso ao serviço de saúde pelo idoso e a busca por apoio para o autocuidado são duas categorias de análise. Os idosos não utilizam a rede de cuidados oferecidos pelos serviços de saúde em sua totalidade. Conclusão: a equipe multiprofissional, em especial o enfermeiro, tem um importante papel no direcionamento dos usuários nos níveis de Atenção à Saúde, além do desenvolvimento de ações de promoção da saúde em busca do autocuidado.</p>
RESUMO: Objetivo: conhecer como o idoso diagnosticado com hipertensão arterial e/ou diabetes mellitus desenvolve o seu autocuidado, bem como as dificuldades que ele possa enfrentar. Método: estudo de abordagem qualitativa realizado com 20 idosos diagnosticados com hipertensão arterial e/ou diabetes mellitus. As entrevistas semiestruturadas foram realizadas no domicílio dos idosos. Os dados foram coletados nos meses de junho e julho de 2016 e analisados de acordo com a análise de conteúdo. Resultados: elencaram-se três categorias mediante a análise dos dados: Identificação do diagnóstico da hipertensão arterial e do diabetes mellitus; O conhecimento do idoso sobre hipertensão arterial e/ou diabetes mellitus; Os recursos que o idoso utiliza para cuidar da hipertensão arterial e/ou diabetes mellitus. Considerações finais: os resultados obtidos revelaram a necessidade dos profissionais de saúde que assistem esses idosos repensem medidas e ações reais, voltadas para a educação em saúde, capacitando-os para o autocuidado de maneira efetiva. RESUMOObjetivo: Apresentar e discutir as experiências e as atividades vivenciadas ao logo de um ano de gestão em um Diretório Acadêmico de Enfermagem. Métodos: Relato de experiência a respeito da gestão do Diretório Acadêmico, desenvolvido por um grupo de estudantes. Resultados: O diretório acadêmico proporciona, na graduação, a participação do aluno e sua integração às ações e lutas coletivas. A gestão do diretório acadêmico foi responsável por articular conselhos estudantis e movimentos em benefício dos alunos e democratizar as decisões que afetariam o corpo discente, além de organizar eventos científicos, incentivando a participação e a criação de ligas acadêmicas, bem como atuação e mobilização social, implementação de sugestões viáveis, articulando as ações com a Faculdade de Enfermagem. Conclusão: Experienciar a Diretoria acadêmica foi de grande valia para todos nós, sendo um momento ímpar que ficará marcado em nossas vidas, deixando a essência do cuidar, que se iniciou pela vontade de cuidarmos uns dos outros. ABSTRACTObjective: To present and discuss the experiences and the activities lived within a year of management in an Academic Directory of Nursing. Methods: Report of the experience with the management of the Academic Directory, developed by a group of students. Results: The academic directory provides, in the undergraduate, student participation and its integration to the actions and collective struggles. The management of the academic directory was responsible for articulate students councils and movements to benefit the students and democratize the decisions that would affect the students, besides organize scientifics events, encourage participation and create the academic leagues, as well as action and social mobilization, implementation of feasible suggestions and articulate the actions with the Faculty of Nursing.
