Abstract: RESUMO: Objetivo: conhecer como o idoso diagnosticado com hipertensão arterial e/ou diabetes mellitus desenvolve o seu autocuidado, bem como as dificuldades que ele possa enfrentar. Método: estudo de abordagem qualitativa realizado com 20 idosos diagnosticados com hipertensão arterial e/ou diabetes mellitus.
