O fornecimento de molibdênio às plantas é feito, na maioria das vezes, por meio do tratamento de sementes. Contudo, a utilização de sementes enriquecidas com Mo é uma alternativa viável. Nesse trabalho, foram avaliados a nodulação e o desenvolvimento das plantas de soja oriundas de sementes de plantas que receberam aplicação foliar de diferentes doses de Mo. O Mo foi fornecido por meio de aplicações foliares durante o processo de maturação, em aplicação única e parcelada em duas vezes, entre os estádios R5.2 e R5.4, em dois ensaios, em Lavras, MG e Ituiutaba, MG. Posteriormente, estas sementes foram semeadas em vasos, mantidos em casa de vegetação e as plantas avaliadas no estádio R1. Os tratamentos com molibdato de sódio (39% de Mo) foram: 1 aplicação de 1000g.ha-1, 1 aplicação de 800g.ha-1, 1 aplicação de 600g.ha-1, 1 aplicação de 400g.ha-1, 2 aplicações de 500g.ha-1, 2 aplicações de 400g.ha-1, 2 aplicações de 300g.ha-1, 2 aplicações de 200g.ha-1, testemunha (sem Mo) e testemunha + Mo por meio do tratamento de sementes convencional, na dosagem de 3 mL.kg-1 de sementes. Os ensaios foram instalados no delineamento de blocos casualizados, com quatro repetições. Foram avaliados: teor de Mo na semente, altura de planta, matéria seca de parte aérea e raiz, número e peso seco de nódulos por plantas e teor de nitrogênio na folha. O teor de Mo nas sementes é crescente com a dose aplicada nas plantas e independe da aplicação em dose única ou parcelada. O contato das sementes com a solução de Mo diminuiu o número de nódulos por plantas. O acúmulo de Mo nas sementes não prejudica a nodulação e também não interfere no desenvolvimento da planta. Plantas provenientes de sementes enriquecidas ou tratadas com Mo possuem maior acúmulo de N nas folhas.
