Introducción: La medición de la calidad de vida en pacientes con cáncer avanzado por medio de escalas permite evaluar objetivamente un desenlace prioritario en este tipo de pacientes. Los instrumentos de medición deben ser claros, comprensibles y consistentes independientemente del contexto cultural en el que se utilicen.
Objetivo: Traducir y adaptar transculturalmente la escala FACIT-PAL en pacientes con cáncer avanzado en Colombia.
Métodos: Proceso realizado según los pasos sugeridos por la metodología del grupo FACIT para traducción y adaptación transcultural; se realizó una prueba piloto aplicada a 10 pacientes colombianos con cáncer avanzado que asistieron al servicio de cuidados paliativos del Instituto Nacional de Cancerología E.S.E.
Resultados: En la adaptación los ítems pal-1, 5,10,12 y 14 fueron modificados en la versión reconciliada y no hubo cambios en la traducción de las instrucciones y opciones de respuestas; tras la prueba piloto los ítems que fueron confusos para los pacientes fueron Pal-5 y 9 y ningún ítem fue ofensivo.
Conclusiones: Se generó una versión adaptada transculturalmente para ser validada en pacientes con cáncer avanzado en Colombia.
El presente artículo tiene por objetivo analizar la configuración de la ciudadanía que viven poblaciones indígenas habitantes de la ciudad de Querétaro, México. Para esto se parte de una definición amplia de ciudadanía que busca ir más allá del ámbito jurídico e involucra prácticas políticas, económicas, espaciales y culturales desplegadas en la vida cotidiana. Desde esta perspectiva, se exploran las implicaciones de los marcos institucionales y los ordenamientos socioespaciales en el ejercicio de la ciudadanía de poblaciones indígenas de bajos recursos habitantes del barrio San Francisquito, en el centro histórico de Querétaro. Se destaca la existencia de dinámicas institucionales y fronteras socioespaciales que reproducen categorizaciones sobre las poblaciones indígenas en la ciudad, las cuales las relegan a un lugar subordinado y a ser ciudadanos de segunda clase. Este trabajo busca contribuir al entendimiento de las relaciones entre las poblaciones indígenas, las instituciones y el espacio urbano, a partir de tomar como eje transversal el concepto de ciudadanía.
