Objetivos: Descrever a utilização da cobertura de alta tecnologia (filme de poliuretano transparente) na prevenção de lesão por pressão e identificar a presença de possíveis lesões por pressão durante e após utilização da cobertura proposta. Metodologia: Estudo descritivo, prospectivo do tipo série de casos, com o envolvimento de pacientes internados nos setores de clínica médica e unidades de terapia intensiva de um hospital universitário na cidade do Rio de Janeiro com 10 participantes que receberam aplicação da tecnologia preventiva para a prevenção da lesão por pressão. Coleta realizada entre outubro e novembro de 2022. Resultados: Foram avaliados 10 pacientes, sendo seis pacientes de clínica médica e quatro pacientes de UTI. Após a aplicação da cobertura, os intervalos preestabelecidos para reavaliação foram de 24, 48 e 72 horas, em todos os pacientes foi possível observar dificuldade para aplicação da cobertura, durante a pesquisa o tempo mínimo de permanência da cobertura foi de 24 horas e máximo de 72 horas em ambas as regiões de aplicação. O tempo médio de permanência da intervenção foi de 64 horas nos cotovelos e de 55 horas nos calcâneos. Durante o período, apenas 03 pacientes conseguiram manter o filme nos locais de aplicação pelo tempo proposto no estudo. Conclusão: Apesar de não haver quebra de integridade da pele em nenhum dos participantes da pesquisa após 24, 48 ou 72h da aplicação da intervenção, não é possível afirmar que está relacionado com a tecnologia instalada. A realização de medidas preventivas associadas ao uso de tecnologia pode ser benéfica para a prevenção de lesões por pressão.
Nos últimos anos, o Brasil tem progredido em relação às ações de promoção, proteção e apoio ao aleitamento materno exclusivo, tendo em vista seus crescentes índices no país e redução do desmame precoce. A extensão universitária pode atuar como importante instrumento na busca de melhores condições de saúde e alimentação materno-infantil. Este trabalho objetivou relatar as experiências de um projeto de extensão voltado à promoção do aleitamento materno desenvolvido a partir de uma formação, preparo teórico e prático na temática aleitamento materno, com posterior inserção de alunos em uma maternidade pública. Buscou-se a escuta ativa, multidisciplinar e humanística, além de possibilitar uma formação diferenciada desses alunos.
