Le but de cette recherche est d’étudier les effets de la valence émotionnelle d’une image sur les performances orthographiques d’élèves de CE1, CE2, CM1 et CM2 au travers d’une tâche de production écrite. En référence au modèle d’allocation de ressources cognitives (Ellis & Moore, 1999), les émotions monopoliseraient, par l’émergence de pensées intrusives, une partie des ressources attentionnelles aux dépens de la tâche en cours. En créant une charge cognitive supplémentaire, le contenu émotionnel de l’image devrait avoir un effet négatif sur les processus rédactionnels coûteux en ressources attentionnelles, et impacter la longueur de texte et l’orthographe. Les résultats révèlent un effet contrasté de la charge émotionnelle de l’image sur les performances orthographiques lexicales et grammaticales des enfants.
Effet de l'émotion sur la détection d'erreurs orthographiques : Résumé : Cette étude a pour objectif de tester l'effet d'une induction émotionnelle par la musique sur la détection d'erreurs orthographiques chez l'enfant et chez l'adulte. De récentes études montrent qu'une induction émotionnelle négative peut altérer les performances orthographiques grammaticales chez l'enfant dépendamment du niveau d'expertise du scripteur et de la difficulté de la tâche (Largy et al., 2018 ;Soulier et al., 2017 ;Soulier, 2018). En proposant une tâche de détection d'erreurs d'accord sujet-verbe sur ordinateur, les performances des participants ont pu être analysées sur la base de leur réussite à la tâche (i.e., pourcentage d'erreurs moyen) mais aussi sur son temps d'exécution (i.e., temps de réponse moyen). Contrairement à ce qui a été observé en production, les résultats ne montrent pas d'effet de l'induction émotionnelle sur la réussite de la tâche. Cependant l'analyse des temps de réponse moyens révèle un impact de l'induction émotionnelle négative sur le temps d'exécution de la tâche. Cet effet est différencié en fonction du type de phrase à traiter et du niveau d'expertise des participants.
