Approval: 04-10-2017 ABSTRACT Objective: report the experience of applying the theoretical data saturation technique in qualitative research with schoolchildren. Method: critical reading of primary sources and compilation of raw data, followed by thematic grouping through colorimetric codifi cation and allocation of themes/types of statements in charts to fi nd theoretical saturation for each grouping. Results: colorimetric codifi cation occurred according to previously established themes: bodily hydration; physical activities and play; handling of sickle-cell disease; feeding and clothing. On the eleventh interview, it was possible to reach the theoretical saturation of themes, with four additional interviews being performed. Conclusion: this experience report enabled the description of the fi ve sequential steps for identifi cation of theoretical data saturation in qualitative research conducted with schoolchildren. Descriptors: Data Curation; Qualitative Research; Sampling; Data Collection; Child. 229Theoretical saturation in qualitative research: an experience report in interview with schoolchildren Nascimento LCN, et al.
SOCIO-ECONOMIC AND OBSTETRIC PROFILE OF PUERPERAE ASSISTED IN A PHILANTHROPIC MATERNITY UNITABSTRACT: The aim of this descriptive, cross-sectional and qualitative study was to investigate the socio-economic and obstetric profile of puerperae assisted in a maternity unit in the North of Espírito Santo. Approximately 54% of the women were in the age range 20 to 29 years old, 83.6% were married or lived with a partner, 49.5% stated that they were of mixed race, 32.8% had finished junior high school, 49.8% had an income of not more than one minimum salary, 61.6% belong to social class C and 89.2% were attended by the Unified Health System (SUS). It was ascertained that 72.4% had had one to two pregnancies, 53.9% with an interpartal interval of 2 to 5 years, 62.2% with Caesarean section, approximately 60% had had seven or more pre-natal consultations and 87% denied having a history of miscarriage. It is concluded that the profile of puerperae is similar to that found in other studies and the need is evidenced for the service to be attent to the non-undertaking of pre-natal consultations among young puerperae and the high prevalence of Caesarean births. DESCRIPTORS: Post-partum period; Pre-natal care; Women's health; Nursing. Purpose: to develop and validate a nursing process application in a neonatal intensive care unit. Method: a methodological study, conducted in a university hospital in southeastern Brazil from January 2017 to February 2018, divided into four stages: definition of requirements and elaboration of the conceptual model; generation of implementation and prototyping alternatives; testing and implementation. The app was developed based on Wanda Horta's Basic Human Needs and International Classification for Nursing Practice and following the User Centered Design method and the standards of the Brazilian Association of Software Engineering Technical Standards for IOS and Android platforms. The product was evaluated and validated by nurses for functional suitability, reliability, usability, performance efficiency, compatibility and safety. Results: the CuidarTech NeoProcesso de Enfermagemapp has screens that integrate the elements for history, diagnosis and nursing interventions. According to the judges' evaluation, it has functional adequacy, reliability, usability, performance efficiency, compatibility and safety. Conclusion: the app designed and validated by nurses is a computerized instrument that contains the stages of the nursing process: history, diagnoses and interventions, organized by Basic Human Needs and following the taxonomy of the International Classification for Nursing Practices. It relates information of newborns admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Units and the nursing process, being able to provide quality, effectiveness, safety and personal satisfaction to the nurse's care.
