Objective: To describe the prevalence and factors associated with pressure injuries related to the use of personal protective equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: Cross-sectional study conducted using an instrument made available in social networks with 1,106 health professionals. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and compared, considering pvalue < 0.05. Results: There was a prevalence of 69.4% for pressure injuries related to the use of personal protective equipment, with an average of 2.4 injuries per professional. The significant factors were: under 35 years of age, working and wearing personal protective equipment for more than six hours a day, in hospital units, and without the use of inputs for protection. Conclusion: Pressure injuries related to the use of medical devices showed a high prevalence in this population. The recognition of the damage in these professionals makes it possible to advance in prevention strategies.

Dimensioning the instrumentation: Exploratory or confi rmatory factor analysis?Re: Quality of nursing care: Instrument development and validation Dear Editor, Martinez et al. in their research entitled as "Quality of nursing care: Instrument development and validation", published in volume 69 and issue 5 in 2016, have done a valuable work in relation to the design and psychometry of instrument as well as the relevant areas (Nurses' perceptions of activities leading to increased quality of care by nurses) (1) . There are some tips in some parts of the research methodology that need to be considered. Explaining them seems to be capable of improving the work in future research and to be a guidance for other researchers in the field of design and validity of the instrument. Conceptualization and generating items in this study were performed with a deductive approach and by using OE -Ordem dos Enfermeiros (Order of Nurses) standard related to Portugal standards. Sampling in large sample size and focusing on the validity and reliability of the provided tool are as the strengths of the mentioned study.Papers appraisal is essential for the growth of knowledge and improves the quality of scientific research (2) . Scientific review of articles can be useful for readers and researchers regarding the increase of the article quality (3) . The mentioned study is criticized from two major aspects: In evaluating the newly designed instrument validity, only the qualitative content analysis (intelligibility, clarity and communication) has been mentioned. Although this evaluation is proper and accurate, but it is not enough, and CVI or CVR have not been calculated (4)(5) , while focusing on these indices is crucial in instrumentation and represents the issue that whether the instrument content fully assesses the studied structure or not (5) . The important, and in fact, the main thing to notice is that followed by sampling, the exploratory factor analysis method was used to assess the construct validity, while the dimensions have been specified in the beginning of the study and it is even determined that which items would be placed in which dimensions. In this context, the factor analysis of choice will be of confirmatory type and not the exploratory kind (5)(6)(7) . Since, the confirmatory type is the test hypothesis, suggesting that whether the statements included within each dimension are really fit and belong to that dimension or not (4) . The exploratory type, as the name implies, involves the detection and determining the dimensions. Sometimes, the texts can be used to state the dimensions of a structure. However, to specify which statements need to be placed in the made instrument, the exploratory factor analysis prediction should be employed in such circumstances. The purpose of the aforementioned is helping the illustration of key points in the design of the instrument and mentioning of some necessary points. Enfermagem. Estomaterapia. ABSTRACTThis study aimed at evaluating the evidence available in the literature on the clinical and management care developed by nurses for the prevention of pressure ulcers. The research occurred by means of the integrative review method, in which we researched articles containing the descriptors "pressure ulcer", "Nursing", "prevention and control", and "Nursing care", available in the SciELO and Base de Dados de Enfermagem (BDENF) databases, published from 2002 to 2011. Based on this survey and on the application of inclusion and exclusion criteria, we selected 16 articles, which constituted the study sample. For the analysis and discussion of publications, we synthesized them and divided the care into fi ve distinct categories: pressure relief; nutrition; hygiene; hydration; and care management. The latter was present in many articles, although the pressure relief category has presented the largest number of Nursing care. Thus, this study enabled to understand the Nursing care developed in diff erent realities, with the aim of providing care to patients at risk for pressure ulcers. It is worth mentioning that some Nursing care in the prevention of pressure ulcers depend solely on nurse prescription and on the Nursing staff 's implementation, like the change in position, even though the interdisciplinary work is still required for the performance of preventive care in their entirety.

Enfermagem. Gerência. Estomia. Serviços de enfermagem. ABSTRACTThe aim of this study was to describe the perception of nursing managers from inpatient units, regarding the care of the stomatherapy service in a public hospital. A descriptive study with a qualitative approach was carried out with 11 nurses working in hospital unit management. For data collection, we used semi-structured interviews. For analysis of statements, it was adopted the content analysis technique. This analysis provided two thematic categories. In the fi rst, skills of the nurses from the stomatherapy service were addressed, with reports about visitation and development of opinions, prevention, treatment of wounds, and permanent education in the service. In the second category, the interviewees' statements allowed a critical assessment of the stomatherapy service, in which they discussed critical issues related to practice and necessary/insuffi cient trainings, physical and human structures, inappropriate material, and restricted frequency of visitations to the units. Despite the reported diffi culties, the managers were satisfi ed with the performance of the stomatherapy service, especially with regard to communication and interpersonal relationship between units.
Enfermagem. Cuidados de enfermagem. Diabetes mellitus. Pé diabético. ABSTRACTAt-risk foot is one of the serious and crippling microvascular complications for people with diabetes; and the main treatment is early detection. By knowing the causes of diabetic foot, high-risk patients might be identifi ed early, thus avoiding amputations. We aimed to describe the knowledge of nurses in Primary Health Care on the care off ered for diabetic patients with at-risk foot, during nursing consultation. Descriptive study with ten nurses from Primary Health Care Units of Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil, with data collected through semi-structured interviews and observation of the nursing consultation, conducted in September and October 2013. The Research Ethics Committee of the Universidade Estadual do Ceará, under number 201.279, approved the project. The following themes emerged from the speeches: knowledge of nurses on the care for the diabetic foot and infl uencing factors on nurses' assistance. Nurses know the importance of educational care, but are unaware of the importance of clinical evaluation. As infl uencing factors for such assistance, there was lack of knowledge on clinical evaluation requiring continuing education, material resources, equipment, and physical infrastructure. Therefore, we conclude that nurses, in order to care for these patients, should have updated and specifi c knowledge, besides material conditions to minimize the occurrence of complications from lack of care.
