A fenologia botânica visa à observação de fenofases reprodutivas e vegetativas, e suas relações de causalidade com eventos abióticos e bióticos, e desta forma compreender, por exemplo, como ocorrem estas interações ao nível de espécie e quais variáveis ambientais preponderantes para o desencadear de cada fenofase. Nos trópicos são recorrentes estudos que utilizem estatísticas circulares para analisar as datas médias de ocorrência dos eventos, bem como, a concentração destes eventos fenológicos. O presente trabalho objetivou realizar uma revisão bibliográfica acerca das contribuições da estatística circular para a obtenção de dados fenológicos reprodutivos em populações e comunidades vegetais florestais. Para a construção da presente pesquisa, foi adotado como protocolo de seleção a inclusão de artigos de periódicos publicados entre 2012 e 2022, em inglês ou português, disponibilizados nas plataformas, Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), SciELO e Google Acadêmico, o que culminou com a incorporação de 13 artigos neste estudo. Os resultados encontrados evidenciaram a relevância da estatística circular para a detecção, ao nível de população e de comunidade, da sazonalidade dos eventos reprodutivos (em geral, botão floral, antese, frutos maduros e imaturos), data média de ocorrência de tais episódios e o seu período de concentração. Também possibilitou avaliar a interferência de fenômenos climáticos (El Niño) na época de ocorrência das fenofases. Conclui-se que, tais resultados podem ser aplicáveis para fins comerciais, compreensão de eventos climáticos e ações de recuperação de áreas degradadas.
