One of the biggest challenges of railway logistic companies is to predict load time and, consequently, to reduce the time spent in queues. We call the attention for the impact caused by these queues, such as fuel consumption, trains indisponibility and staff spending. This work describes a system to track trains during their loading of iron ore. The proposed system generates better load time and reduces the queues of empty trains. The system is composed of lasers and light sensors to count trains, a Mesh network to transmit data from places where there is no Internet access, microcontrollers to process data and a website to present real time collected data.Resumo: Um dos maiores desafios atuais para empresas ferroviárias de logística é ter previsão do tempo de carga e a consequente redução da geração de filas. Dentre os impactos causados podemos destacar o consumo de combustível, a indisponibilidade da composição e gastos homem/hora. Este trabalho descreve um sistema para realizar a rastreabilidade de trens durante o carregamento de minério de ferro. O sistema proposto tem o intuito de gerar melhor previsibilidade de término de carga, o que permite a redução de filas de trens vazios. O estudo prevê a utilização de sensores a laser, rede Mesh para comunicação em locais sem acesso à rede, microcontroladores para processamento e um site para acesso às informações online em tempo real via Internet.
