L’articolo tratta i temi legati allo sviluppo di un makerspace scolastico all’interno di una scuola primaria e secondaria di primo grado. Indire nel 2018 ha condotto una prima indagine, alla quale è seguito un follow-up per comprendere le dinamiche che si instaurano intorno al makerspace e che coinvolgono dirigente, insegnanti e terze parti (makers, associazioni, genitori). L’articolo si basa su interviste semi-strutturate a tutti gli attori coinvolti e ha lo scopo di verificare la sostenibilità di tale azione sotto tutti i punti di vista: didattico, economico, logistico. I risultati che si rilevano sono incoraggianti, ma mettono in evidenza numerosi problemi correlati alle dinamiche di comunità tra le figure professionali coinvolte. L’articolo mette in evidenza la necessità di una visione di lungo corso con obiettivi condivisi e programmi ben definiti, sostenuti, possibilmente, da una stabilità in termini di personale.
