In order to study the injection and diffusion process of the drug in the subcutaneous tissue of a needle-free jet injectors (NFJIs) in detail and understand the influence of different nozzle geometry on the diffusion process of the drug, in this paper, numerical simulations were performed to study the diffusion process of the drug in the subcutaneous tissue of NFJIs with cylindrical nozzle. On this basis, the differences of the drug diffusion process with different nozzle geometries were analyzed. The results show that the drug diffused in the shape of ellipsoid in the subcutaneous tissue. The penetration of the drug into the subcutaneous tissue is deeper under the condition of conical nozzle and conical cylindrical nozzle at the same time. However, it takes longer to spread to the interface between skin and subcutaneous tissue in reverse.
The STEP standard is an international standard for data expressing and exchanging during the whole life cycle of the product, the neutral file is an universal data exchange form for the data exchanging. In order to develop a STEP post-processer for the rotor dynamics analysis software-Rotors Dynamics, the author elaborates the lexical analysis module and data mapping module, studies the rotor model parameter extraction based on STEP neutral file, and realizes the seamless connectivity between the Rotors Dynamics and the rotor’s CAD model.
As a purpose of developing micro-actuators driven by liquid crystals, transient behaviors of a nematic liquid crystal between two parallel plates under an electric field have investigated numerically by using the Leslie-Ericksen theory. Twist angle has been selected as computational parameters. Imposition of an electric field on a liquid crystal induces backflow whose profile and magnitude depend strongly on the twist angle of the director. When the twist angle is 0 degree, the induced flow is planar, and with increasing of the twist angle, the flow has an out of plane component, and finally the profile becomes unidirectional when the twist angle reaches 180 degrees.
A novel kernel hardness tester was introduced in the paper, and the detection and control system was studied in detail. The stylus of the tester is forced into grain which placed in a container. The force which was acquired by a load cell and the displacement of the stylus which was measured by an optical encoder were used as a new hardness index. The core microcontroller unit (MCU) applied in the paper is STC89C52 to accomplish the data acquisition and the position control of a DC servo motor.
