Antibiotik adalah obat yang digunakan untuk terapi infeksi bakteri. WHO telah merekomendasikan Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical (ATC) dan Defined Daily Dose (DDD) sebagai standar global untuk studi penggunaan obat, salah satunya adalah antibiotik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran penggunaan antibiotik secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode ATC/DDD, serta menentukan antibiotik yang termasuk ke dalam segmen Drug Utilization (DU) 90% di RSUD M. Natsir Kota Solok pada tahun 2020. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik dengan desain cross sectional yang dilakukan secara retrospektif, dengan menggunakan data rekam medis pasien di instalasi rawat inap bedah di RSUD M.Natsir Kota Solok tahun 2020, sampel diambil dengan teknik random sampling. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 213 sampel, dimana hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara kuantitas penggunaan antibiotik dari 213 catatan rekam medis pasien didapatkan total penggunaan antibiotik 136,203 gram DDD/100 hari rawat. Penggunaan antibiotik yang banyak yaitu sefiksime 67,791 g dan yang sedikit yaitu meropenem 0,107 g. Antibiotik yang masuk dalam segmen 90% yaitu sefiksim (49,772%), seftriakson (18,393%), sefotaksim (14,786%) dan metronidazole (8,764%), sedangkan yang masuk ke segmen 10 % yaitu siprofloksasin (5,074%), azitromycin (1,320%), metronidazole (1,173%), levofloxacin (0,399%), sefadroksil (0,237%), dan meropenem (0,078%).
