<p>The article reveals the psychological foundations of the self-realization phenomenon. It is determines that personal self-realization as a self-determined phenomenon is determined by a complex of interconnected personal indicators, including the value of self-development, integral perception of a personal life course, self-acceptance and so on. Psychological meaning of personal self-realization is defined, namely: psychological aspects of self-actualization that support understanding of personal meaning of self-realization. Importance to study objective laws of the process of personal self-realization through its value-semantic mediation is substantiated. An important factor of personal self-realization is <em>internal motivation</em>, caused by personal creativity, self-guidance, desires for self-development, a high-status position in social contact, knowledge.</p>
<p>The article describes the psychological study determining the factors that support fundamental assumptions of students with disabilities. We have determined correlations between psychological hardiness of students with disabilities and their system of fundamental assumptions; beliefs in the benevolence of the surrounding world and people, in the meaningfulness of some events, in a chance to build successfully one’s own life and in one’s own luck have a significant influence on psychological hardiness. The predictors of psychological hardiness of students with disabilities are: positive interactions with the outside world; self-acceptance as a conscious acceptance of various aspects of one’s own personality; personal autonomy, which allows an individual to independently determine their own behaviour, assess adequately their capabilities and resist external influences.</p>
The article discusses psychological principles of integrated organization of a self-improvement phenomenon. It was determined that self-improvement as a self-determined phenomenon is conditioned and mediated by a set of interconnected personal characteristics, including the value of self-development, integrity of life course perception, self-acceptance and so on. The article reveals structural characteristics of self-improvement as a self-determined system, the basic parameters of which include the value of self-improvement, self-efficacy and personal autonomy. Expediency was justified of an integrated study of objective laws of a self-improvement process through personal and value-semantic mediation. An important factor of self-improvement is a need for self-fulfilment that actualizes person’s potential abilities, supports internal state of tension, is the source of activity and self-activity, has a social character (social status achieving), can be formed purposefully during mastering of any activity.
<p>The article presents the research on psychological factors of personal autonomy as a self-determination need and as a component of psychological well-being. The analysis was carried out in two directions: within in the theory of self-determination and within the theory of psychological well-being.</p><p>The greatest influence on autonomy development as a self-determination need have such predictors as goals in life, challenge, self-efficacy, self-acceptance, self-assurance, locus of control-life, locus of control-Self. Predictors that positively affect autonomy as a component of psychological well-being are: self-acceptance, acceptance of aggression, self-confidence, creativity, control, self-esteem.</p>The article determines that autonomy as a self-determination need is based not only on self-acceptance with all advantages and disadvantages, but also on existence of a goal in life and personal internal powers to achieve this goal. Autonomy, as it is understood in the theory of psychological well-being, is a necessary, but insufficient condition for self-determination. For formation and development of self-determination it is necessary to have a life purpose that gives meaningfulness to human life.
The article presents adaptation and verification made for the psychometric characteristics of the Wiesbaden Inventory for Positive Psychotherapy and Family Therapy. The psychometric characteristics and other approbation results for the offered Ukrainian-language version of the examined Inventory are shown. The data on the Inventory diagnostic are described and its prognostic capabilities to determine factors of an individual’s self-determination, psychological well-being and psychological hardiness are assessed.
