С. 130-135. Проаналізовано сучасні способи отримання відносно низьких (коротких) круглих в плані заготовок для видавлювання циліндричних деталей. Показано, що вирубка з листового матеріалу навіть з використанням багаторядного розкрою не дозволяє виробляти такі заготовки із забезпеченням високого коефіцієнта використання матеріалу. Альтернативні способи, такі як різання зсувом в спеціальних штампах і розкочування, не забезпечують якість низьких заготовок або є непродуктивними. Запропоновано отримувати відносно низькі круглі в плані заготовки осадкою з квадратних, для яких величина коефіцієнта використання матеріалу наближається до 100 %. Наведено результати теоретичного аналізу процесу осадки квадратної заготовки в круглій матриці, при якій деформація характеризується вихровою течією металу. Математичну модель процесу побудовано з використанням тривимірного вихрового поля швидкостей на базі енергетичного методу. Результати розрахунків співставлено з експериментальними даними. Отримано залежності питомих сил від незаповнення для осадки квадратної заготовки, а також для стаціонарної стадії видавлювання заготовок типу стаканів з товщиною стінки 0,50 мм та 0,25 мм. Запропонована методика теоретичного аналізу може бути використана для визначення товщини стінки, при якій фестон не буде перешкодою для виготовлення тонкостінних деталей типу тюбиків. Запропоновано технологічний процес видавлювання круглої деталі (тонкостінного тюбика) з квадратної заготовки. Застосування нової технології видавлювання тюбиків з квадратних заготовок дозволяє підвищити коефіцієнт використання матеріалу з 0,67 до 0,98.
