Inspired by the remarkable advances in video analytics, research teams are stepping towards a greater ambition -movie understanding. However, compared to those activity videos in conventional datasets, movies are significantly different. Generally, movies are much longer and consist of much richer temporal structures. More importantly, the interactions among characters play a central role in expressing the underlying story. To facilitate the efforts along this direction, we construct a dataset called Movie Synopses Associations (MSA) over 327 movies, which provides a synopsis for each movie, together with annotated associations between synopsis paragraphs and movie segments. On top of this dataset, we develop a framework to perform matching between movie segments and synopsis paragraphs. This framework integrates different aspects of a movie, including event dynamics and character interactions, and allows them to be matched with parsed paragraphs, based on a graph-based formulation. Our study shows that the proposed framework remarkably improves the matching accuracy over conventional featurebased methods. It also reveals the importance of narrative structures and character interactions in movie understanding. Dataset and code are available at: https:// ycxioooong.github.io/projects/moviesyn 1
The development of the sustainable synthesis of zeolites has become a very hot topic in recent years. Herein, we report a sustainable route for synthesizing all-silica SOD zeolite under solvent-free conditions. The method of solvent-free synthesis includes mixing, grinding, and heating raw solids. The all-silica SOD zeolite obtained was well characterized by multiple measurement techniques (XRD, SEM, IR, thermogravimetric-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA), and magic angel spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (MAS NMR)). The crystallization process of all-silica SOD zeolite was also investigated in detail by XRD, SEM, UV-Raman, and MAS NMR techniques. In addition, the effects of the crystallization compositions, including the molar ratios of Na2O/SiO2 and ethylene glycol/SiO2, on the synthesis of the pure all-silica SOD zeolite were investigated at different temperatures.
The occurrence of tumors is associated with the upregulation or downregulation of certain genes. The identification of novel tumor therapies has revealed that regulation of tumor cell death can either promote or suppress the occurrence and development of tumors. Iron-dependent lipid free oxygen radical accumulation causes tumor cells to die by ferroptosis, a form of regulated cell death. Multiple mechanisms mediate this mode of cell death, including redox homeostasis, iron metabolism, mitochondrial activity, breakdown of amino acids, lipids and sugars and epigenetic regulatory and disease-associated signaling pathways. The present review discussed epigenetic mechanism of ferroptosis with the aim of providing novel insight for optimization of the effects of antitumor therapy.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
