Atualmente no contexto do Programa Saúde da Família (PSF), o Acolhimento representa um importante instrumento para a humanização da atenção à saúde. Assim, este trabalho tem por objetivos identificar a concepção que os profissionais do PSF têm de acolhimento, descrever como estes profissionais praticam o acolhimento, identificando as condições favoráveis e desfavoráveis para a consolidação de uma cultura da humanização no PSF. O estudo tem abordagem qualitativa, do tipo etnográfica, e os dados foram colhidos no contexto de uma oficina de sensibilização, criatividade e expressividade. Os resultados demonstram que a cultura que os profissionais têm sobre o acolhimento está relacionada aos seguintes conceitos: receber bem, ouvir o usuário, estar atento, compreender e solidarizar-se. Conclui-se que, apesar das limitações institucionais, profissionais e sociais relatadas, estes profissionais vivenciam diariamente a prática do acolhimento da forma mais humana de sua concepção, extrapolando, para isso, até mesmo sua formação profissional, que, geralmente, habilita-os para ações curativas.The welcoming in the family health program: a way to humanize healthAbstractPresentelly, in the context of Family Health Program (abbreviated PSF in Portuguese), it was observed that Welcoming is an important instrument for the humanization of health. Thus, this study objectifies to identify what the PSF really is and to explain how these professionals carry out the welcoming, identifying the favorable and unfavorable conditions that might help in the consolidation of humanization culture in the PSF. This study used the qualitative approach, ethnografhic type; data were obteined in a workshop of sensitivity, creativity and expression. The results demonstrated that the culture that the professionals have acquired so far on welcoming is related to the following conception: receive well, listen to the users, to be observant, to understand, to sympathize. It was conclude that, in spite of the reported institutional, professional and social limitations, these professionals experience daily welcoming practice in the most humanized way, even if this means that they have to go beyond their professional background, which generally educated them for healing actions.
This is a methodological study of innovative technology developed which aims to build up nursing care protocol to the patient in the pre and postoperative bariatric surgery. The proposed model of care was based on the General Theory Orem Self-Care and organized from the requirements of self-care (universal, developmental and health deviation). Within each requirement, it is presented nursing diagnoses, expected outcomes and nursing interventions that were identified in a survey conducted with 31 clients suffering from morbid obesity, assisted by the Gastroenterology Outpatient Clinic of a university hospital in the period from April to June 2009. The development of the protocol is considered an important resource both to organize the guidelines provided by nurses to the bariatric patient, aiming their self-care, and to provide subsidies to systematize nursing care to be provided.
Objective: to describe the use of the Clinical Caritas Processes in workshops for caregivers of institutionalized elderly people, aimed at analyzing these professionals' perception on humane care towards the institutionalized elderly. Method: a convergent care research was conducted with 18 caregivers of a long-term care institution for elderly people in the state of Paraíba, Brazil. Data were collected from June to November 2013, consisting of two months of interaction with the care service and ten meetings conducted in workshops for caregivers. Data were based on the theoretical framework of the Clinical Caritas Processes. Data analysis was based on content analysis and produced ten thematic categories based on the Caritas factors of caring. Conclusion: it was found that the use of the ten Caritas factors of caring were useful for humanistic formations when introducing the group to the conceptions of caring that value the self of the people providing the care and of the ones-being cared for. A análise dos dados foi ancorada na análise de conteúdo e possibilitou dez categorias temáticas baseadas nos fatores caritativos do cuidar. Conclusão: houve evidências de que a utilização dos dez fatores caritativos do cuidado foi útil na formação humanística quando buscou-se introduzir ao grupo as concepções do cuidado humano que valorizam o self de quem cuida e de quem é cuidado. Objective: to build and validate the content of an instrument to investigate changes in the Nursing care provided to people with chronic wounds. Methods: methodological study, consisting of the stages of development and content validity, according to the criteria of clarity and relevance, by six judges, using the Delphi technique in two rounds. A Coefficient of Content Validity ≥ 0.8 was considered adequate. Results: the first version of the instrument contained 15 questions and after the judges’ evaluation it was reduced to 11, addressing the periods before and during the pandemic. In the second round of evaluation, it was verified that the instrument showed a total content validity coefficient equal to 0.96. Conclusion: the instrument showed evidence of content validity and can be used to investigate possible changes resulting from the pandemic of COVID-19 in the Nursing care of people with chronic wounds in Primary Care.
Objective: to apply the nursing process fundament on the Theory of Orem’ Self-care, through the conduct of a report of clinical case, with a patient submitted to bariatric surgery. Methods: this is about a descriptive study, from qualitative approach, report of clinical case type, performed in a patient with morbid obesity, included in Bariatric Surgery Group of a teaching hospital in João Pessoa-PB city. For data collection was used a script adapted to Theory of Orem’ Self-care, which led to the identification of deficits of self-care and therefore to nursing diagnoses. It was then developed the plan of nursing care, with the determination of goals, objectives, method of assistance, type of system and nursing interventions. This study has been approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Hospital of the Federal University of Paraiba (054/07). Results: from the identification of nursing diagnoses was established and implemented the plan of nursing care with the aim of restoring the patient to prevent postoperative complications, promote recovery and prepare you for the self-care. Conclusion: it is considered that the application of the nursing process, based on Theory of Orem’ Self-care, enabled the provision of assistance and qualified individual, encouraging the patient to participate actively in their treatment, but also to increase their responsibility in the outcome of care. Objective: to analyze the Orem’ Self Care Theory according to the criteria from Fawcett. Methodology: this is about a descriptive and analytical study which was used the criteria for evaluation based on Fawcett: significance, internal consistency, parsimony and pragmatic adequacy. The analysis was descriptive, not requiring judgments as to its origin and content, reproducing or told accurately what it was considered. Results: the analysis expanded our knowledge on the Theory and to understand as it appeared, what influenced its development, its objective, main focus, its coverage and which the contributions for Nursing. Conclusions: it can be affirmed that this study was of extreme importance for the authors and contributed for the scientific and professional growth as well, and we hope that it can serve to also extend the knowledge of others researchers on this Theory or that it to get interest from this reading. Objective: To compare the knowledge of the nurses about the diabetic foot before and after the educational intervention. Method: Quasi-experimental study, before-and-after type, carried out with 53 nurses, from March to June 2016, in the municipality of Campina Grande, Paraíba. The Questioning Methodology was used to develop the educational intervention. Knowledge was investigated using an instrument designed by the researchers. For data analysis before and after the intervention, the McNemar and Wilcoxon tests were performed. Results: The knowledge of the nurses about the diabetic foot turned out to be deficient, with a mean of correct answers in the pre-test of 23.8 (SD±12.8) and after 41.9 (SD±9,2), with a statistically significant difference (p<0.01). Conclusion: It was verified a significant increase in the knowledge after the intervention, highlighting the items related to evaluate the loss of plantar protective sensitivity, essential for the prevention of diabetic foot.
