El objeto de conocimiento científico que convoca esta investigación es el estudio de la constitución histórica de la experiencia estética de lo cotidiano en los discursos de la educación física del siglo XIX. El objeto de estudio así planteado, no tiene antecedentes de investigaciones que aborden este problema en el ámbito de la educación física en la perspectiva histórica. En ella, nuestra línea de investigación viene desarrollando estudios que han contribuido de manera directa a reconstruir lo constitutivo de la educación física a partir de sus discursos; ahora bien, el problema de cómo se formaliza la experiencia estética de lo cotidiano de ellos, viene a sumarse al panorama general de la disciplina, y le da un piso histórico necesario para su historia presente, en cuanto a las transformaciones en sus objetos de estudio, su legitimidad y formación a través del tiempo. Gracias a los estudios que hemos realizado desde los discursos de la educación física del siglo XIX en cuanto a la ubicación y trascripción de la documentación existente en los diferentes archivos de la ciudad, sus usos y nominaciones las concepciones de cuerpo3 le hemos dado a la disciplina un trasfondo que la establece y le fija un suelo en el que puede reconocerse la validez de su saber.
A nuestra experiencia en investigación a través del semillero en el proyecto curricular del pregrado en la licenciatura en educación física, incorporamos procesos pedagógicos encauzados hacia la transformación en la manera como nos relacionamos con el mundo. Relación encaminada a que los docentes y los estudiantes interroguemos en mundo, sumidos en una constante posición de aprendiz, de neófito, de principiante, en tanto que, nos disponemos continuamente a ser sensibles, afectivos y perceptivos con la pregunta.
