RESUMO: O presente artigo é uma reflexão conjunta entre dois professores com o intuito de discutir o paradigma da complexidade e a interdisciplinaridade na contemporaneidade e suas possibilidades para a educação de um ser humano melhor. O objetivo é discutir abordagens de como trabalhar com o humano, o social e, sobretudo com o pedagógico, na tentativa de resgatar a produção de sentido entre aprender e ensinar. Além disso, com este ensaio pretende-se discutir os fatores que levaram à disciplinarização do conhecimento e suas consequências a Ciência da Educação. Volta-se também para a complexidade e a interdisciplinaridade do conhecimento e dos desafios e demandas que uma sociedade emergente coloca à formação docente. Para uma educação de presente-futuro ético e de humanas gentes é necessário investir no desenvolvimento do ser humano em sua multidimensionalidade pessoal, cultural e profissional, onde a humanidade de suas ações tenha a capacidade de promover a solidariedade, a prática social e cidadã.

Este artigo parte de um breve relato crítico sobre as questões epistemológicas centrais que se colocaram no decorrer do século XX e que afetaram tanto as ciências naturais como as ciências sociais. Inicia por retomar, de forma breve, os principais pontos do debate, em seu caráter analítico, e apresentar suas consequências, principalmente aquelas relativas ao enfraquecimento da dicotomia entre ciências sociais e ciências naturais. Com a crise da epistemologia analítica, no final da década de 1960, e com a emergência das abordagens complexas, em detrimento daquelas determinísticas, as ciências sociais passaram a ampliar seus questionamentos aos fundamentos da ciência tradicional, de forma transdisciplinar. O artigo busca, também, indicar caminhos para transcender as limitações da epistemologia clássica, ao oferecer um quadro das novas discussões pós-coloniais e suas consequências, em especial aos dualismos universal/local, social/natural, corporal/simbólico. IntroduçãoO nascimento e consolidação da sociologia como disciplina do conhecimento científico, durante o sé-culo XIX, foi objeto de incontáveis publicações, desde então até os dias de hoje.
