Este estudo objetivou identificar as verbas por tipo e modalidade de bolsas de ensino e pesquisa concedidas pelo CNPq entre 2005 e 2014 nas grandes áreas de conhecimento, especialmente a de Ciências da Saúde com foco na subárea da Educação Física. As buscas ocorreram no mês de março de 2015 e realizadas no painel de investimentos do CNPq (http://www.cnpq.br/painel-de-investimentos) para informações sobre bolsas e no site da CAPES para identificar os cursos de pós-graduação. Foram investidos R$813.435.000,00 nas diferentes modalidades de bolsa, principalmente produtividade em pesquisa (30,0%). A área de Ciências da Saúde foi a quinta em termos de recebimento de verbas (11,0%). Entre as subáreas das Ciências da Saúde, a Medicina foi a que mais recebeu bolsas de ensino e pesquisa (38%) e a Educação Física ficou em sétimo lugar (4,0%). As subáreas que mais cresceram em investimentos no período analisado foram a Fisioterapia/Terapia Ocupacional (775%) e a Educação Física (738%), sendo esta última a sétima das subáreas em recebimento de bolsas de produtividade. Entretanto, foi a quarta em termos de crescimento de investimentos. Do total de bolsas de ensino e pesquisa, 64,3% foram destinadas a pesquisadores da região Sudeste, 15,4% na região Sul e 14,6% no Nordeste. Em contrapartida, apenas 4,1% para a região Centro-oeste e 1,6% a pesquisadores da região Norte.
Introdução: A ciência cidadã cresceu muito nos últimos anos devido a facilidade de divulgação e acesso às informações. Em relação as aves, se deve principalmente ao surgimento de plataformas digitais que estimulam o aumento de observadores de aves e, assim como biólogos/ornitólogos atuantes, no compartilhamento de informações (fotos, gravações, listas, entre outros). Estas ferramentas podem ser extremamente úteis para educação ambiental e pesquisas científicas, visto que geram imensa base de dados proveniente de diversos locais e períodos. Objetivos: O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar a contribuição de uma plataforma digital ao conhecimento da avifauna no estado de Santa Catarina. Material e métodos: Neste estudo, utilizamos os dados publicados no sítio Wiki Aves (www.wikiaves.com.br) para Santa Catarina, disponibilizados até 8 de julho de 2021. Este sítio, implementado em 2008, é considerado a maior página digital de interatividade relacionada às aves do país. Resultados: Dos 293 municípios constantes na base de dados do Wiki Aves, 284 possuem algum tipo de informação inserida pelos participantes e apenas nove não possuem dados vinculados. No total, já foram registradas 662 espécies em Santa Catarina (variando de 472 espécies em Joinville a uma única espécie em sete municípios). Dos 2.546 usuários cadastrados, o maior número (538) está localizado em Florianópolis e, opostamente, em outros 49 municípios há apenas um usuário. Até o momento, 247.436 mídias (fotos e gravações) já foram inseridas, sendo que Florianópolis concentra o maior número (31.138), enquanto em seis municípios há apenas uma mídia. Conclusão: Os dados disponíveis na plataforma abrangem mais de 96,9% dos municípios. Notadamente, os municípios mais populosos apresentam mais informações inseridas e/ou número de usuários cadastrados (Florianópolis, por exemplo). Além da probabilidade de mais participantes em municípios com grandes populações, muitos destes municípios possuem atrativos turísticos que fomentam a atividade de observação de aves. As informações disponíveis podem ser úteis na geração de mapas das áreas de ocorrência, acompanhamento de sazonalidade, redução ou expansão de distribuição das espécies, etc. Corroboram também na indicação das áreas pouco exploradas (como o extremo oeste do estado) e que necessitam intensificar os esforços para o conhecimento da avifauna.
