ResumoA disciplina Profissão Docente nos cursos de formação de professores tem-se caracterizado como um lócus de debate sobre a docência em suas diferentes dimensões. Sendo assim, este texto tem por objetivo introduzir reflexões acerca da profissão docente e o papel da disciplina nos cursos de formação dos futuros docentes na contemporaneidade. Inúmeros estudos mostram a necessidade de inovações nas práticas docentes do ensino superior e a indispensabilidade de novas posturas diante do conhecimento. Nessa direção, problematizou-se, neste texto, a temática da formação profissional dos professores e das professoras na contemporaneidade; também, relatou-se o trabalho desenvolvido no âmbito da referida disciplina em uma turma de uma universidade pública federal brasileira. Apesar do crescente acúmulo de atividades e da precariedade do trabalho docente enfrentada no país em todos os níveis, observou-se, durante o desenvolvimento da disciplina, que determinados conhecimentos trabalhados de forma significativa, criativa e interdisciplinar são fundamentais para a formação de pessoas mais comprometidas, politizadas e abertas às novas aprendizagens ao longo da vida. A relevância dessa experiência curricular, advinda do desenvolvimento da disciplina Profissão Docente, é um momento privilegiado para refletir e questionar o modelo educativo vigente diante das inúmeras transformações provocadas no sistema educacional. A disciplina convoca os futuros profissionais da educação a vivenciarem a dialogização, a práxis pedagógica, a profissionalização, e consequentemente, a formação inicial e continuada docente voltada para atender às necessidades dos sujeitos mais desfavorecidos da sociedade brasileira. Esta investigação é de caráter qualitativa, desenvolvida em uma escola pública com o maior Índice de Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica (IDEB) municipal, situada na zona urbana do município de São Miguel dos Campos, Alagoas. Participaram da pesquisa, crianças de duas turmas do 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental em um ano de realização da Prova Brasil. Nosso objetivo foi observar como as crianças vão sendo orientadas/guiadas por uma lógica de desempenho, promovida por ações, estratégias e discursos performativos, que visam manter um IDEB elevado na escola, trazendo implicações para a formação da sua cidadania, marcada pela governamentalidade. Os resultados apontam que a concepção de cidadania das crianças, limita-se ao controle de suas condutas no cumprimento de deveres e auto responsabilização pelos resultados da Prova Brasil, enredando e cooptando a vida na escola e fora da escola, numa disputa por direitos, formando subjetividades das crianças para atender a uma racionalidade política do estado governamentalizado, alinhadas aos fins do ranqueamento do IDEB.
Este trabalho apresenta dados de uma pesquisa qualitativa desenvolvida em uma escola pública da zona urbana do município de São Miguel dos Campos, estado de Alagoas. O objetivo deste trabalho foi observar a participação das crianças na Prova Brasil e o governo das infâncias exercido pela escola para o alcance de metas. Os resultados apontam uma sujeição e auto responsabilização das crianças pelos resultados da Prova Brasil através de discursos tidos como verdades, formando subjetividades para atender a uma racionalidade política do estado governamentalizado, alinhadas aos fins do ranqueamento do IDEB.
