A vasbeton szerkezetek tartósságának javítása céljából a második generációs EC-2 szabványt a használati élettartam mérnöki becslésével is kiegészítik. Az anyagoldali ellenállás számszerűsítésében kiemelt jelentőséget kapnak a transzportfolyamatokat, az ion- és molekulavándorlást vizsgáló eljárások. Az ionok diffúziójának vizsgálata az acélbetétek korróziós kockázata tervezéséhez ad tájékoztatást pl. a széndioxid (karbonátosodás), valamint a kloridion diffúziójának vizsgálata révén. A hosszú időtartamú kloridion-diffúziós folyamatok gyorsítására kidolgozott módszerrel (MSZ EN 12390-18 szabvány) kloridmigrációs vizsgálatokat végeztek a BME Építőanyagok és Magasépítés Tanszék Laboratóriumában, valamint a SZIKKTI Labor Kft-ben. A taumazit-szulfátkorrózió (Monográfia és a szakirodalom kritikai elemzése) BevezetésÚgy tűnik, hogy a cementgyártás-és betontechnológia fejlődésével párhuzamosan a betonkárosodást okozó fizikai és kémiai folyamatok száma is növekszik. Sózással csökkentjük útjaink téli síkosságát -megjelent az út menti vasbeton létesítmények korróziója. Sikeresen oldottuk meg a cementgyárak portalanításának akut problémáját -néhány év múlva megjelent az alkáliada-lék-korrózió. Feltaláltunk egy olyan cementet (S-54 pc), amely védelmet nyújt a budai keserűvíz-hőforrásokból keletkező, a korabeli szakirodalomban "cementbacilusként" emlegetett ettringittel szemben -de már támad az új szulfátkórokozó ("cementvírus"?).A múlt század végén ugyanis új típusú szulfátkároso-dással ismerkedett meg Nyugat-Európa. Az új kórokozó neve taumazit. A kór pedig közép-angliai tömeges megjelenése óta "taumazit-szulfáttámadás" (angolul: Thaumasite Sulphate Attack, közkeletű rövidítéssel és a továbbiakban: TSA) néven vált Európa-szerte ismertté, s európaiságunk nem kívánt bizonyítékaként hazánkban is.Mindenekelőtt ismerkedjünk meg közelebbről ezzel rejtélyes ásvánnyal. Mi a taumazit? Taumazit a természetbenA taumazit nem tartozik az ősidők óta ismert ásványok közé. Mint már annyiszor leírták, váratlan felfedezése a 19. század végén egy norvég kutató nevéhez fűződik [1], aki meglepetésének kifejezésére a görög "θαυμαζειν"= "taumazein"= "meglepődni" ige alapján adott nevet az új ásványnak.Természetes ásványként Magyarországon is előfordul, egyik legutóbbi erre utaló publikáció a mészkőbányájáról ismert devon kori polgárdi Szár-hegy szilikátos ásványai között, mintegy 2 mm-es, hatszögletű, hasáb alakú kristályokként azonosítja [2]. De előfordul bazaltbányákban is, például Veszprém megyében a Haláp-hegyi és Sarvaly-hegyi kőfejtőben. Ennél jóval fejlettebb példányait többek közöttt a miskolci Herman Ottó, valamint a veszprémi Bakony Múzeumban is őrzik [4].
