A sociedade atual está imersa em um contexto conflitante, convivendo com a dualidade do consumismo exacerbado e do ambientalmente correto. Assim, é importante ressaltar que a forma como o homem percebe o ambiente tem grande influência em sua postura diante da natureza. Nessa perspectiva, a Educação Ambiental (EA) atrelada as tecnologias da educação e comunicação, surge como uma ferramenta de sensibilização e transformação da consciência humana, promovendo a mudança de hábitos. Nesse cenário, o professor como mediador, e facilitador da aprendizagem, é capaz de sensibilizar o indivíduo sobre o seu papel na sociedade. O presente trabalho teve como objetivos utilizar o Podcast como ferramenta de informação e discussão sobre a temática dos resíduos sólidos, apresentar notícias referentes a problemática dos resíduos sólidos através de jornais de grande circulação, analisar a percepção de graduandos em ciências biológicas sobre os resíduos e sensibilização ambiental por meio da aplicação do Podcast. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como quali-quantitativa, com procedimentos direcionados à Análise de Conteúdo. Verificou-se que os graduandos conhecem a ferramenta Podcast e a compreendem como facilitadora no processo de aprendizagem e sensibilização. No que tange à Educação Ambiental atrelada a utilização das ferramentas tecnológicas, assegura-se a ideia de que a união dessas linhas possibilita, de fato, a sensibilização dos indivíduos, visto que, em virtude dos avanços ocorridos nas sociedades, a tecnologia aproxima os conteúdos da realidade de mundo dos estudantes.
