Introdução: Medicamentos Insentos de Prescrição (MIP) são medicamentos aprovados pelas autoridades sanitárias, para comercialização sem necessidade de prescrição médica ou odontológica, disponíveis em farmácias e drogarias. Não tem tarja nem exige receita. Se houver dúvidas sobre o uso ou necessidade de orientação, pode consultar o farmacêutico do estabelecimento. Objetivo: é conceituar perante a legislação o que são MIPs, enfatizar a necessidade da orientação do profissional farmacêutico na aquisição dos mesmos, destacando os riscos do uso indiscriminado e descrever sobre os MIPs mais consumidos no Brasil. Metodologia: a pesquisa foi desenvolvida através de buscas nas plataformas Scielo (Biblioteca Eletrônica Scientifc Eletronic Library Onlinne) e Google acadêmico. Sendo baseado uma revisão de literatura, segundo Cunha, Cunha & Alves, (2014) , que é responsável por alinhar um panorama da literatura aprofundada acerca do tema selecionado. Foram usados como descritores: “Medicamentos isentos de prescrição”, “Uso Indiscriminado”, “Prescrição no Brasil”. Por fim foram selecionadas 20 publicaçãoes para compor o estudo. Conclusão: Através das pesquisas dos estudos é possivel concluir a importância do uso racional de medicamentos livres de prescrição, sendo orientado por um profissional farmacêutico, evitando assim efeitos adversos como intoxicações, interações medicamentosas entre outros. Os medicamentos isentos de prescrição representam 30% do mercado farmacêutico total e ganham cada vez mais relevância quando passam a ser a primeira opção de escolha da população para o autocuidado.
O HIV surgiu no começo da década de 1980 e tornou-se ligeiramente um problema de saúde pública de magnitudes mundiais. A atuação do farmacêutico com as equipes clínicas em hospitais que cuidam de paciente portador do vírus do HIV tem ocasionado um aumento crescente da adesão pelo paciente, pois se sabe que o farmacêutico é o profissional imprescindível para acompanhar o paciente no decorrer de toda a sua trajetória de uso do medicamento. O presente artigo tem como objetivo: Apresentar a atuação do farmacêutico na adesão a Terapia Antirretroviral, na gestão do cuidado em HIV/AIDS. Para tal, realizou-se um estudo bibliográfico do tipo revisão de literatura, de caráter exploratório qualitativo, nas bases de dados: SCIELO, MEDLINE, PUBMED e LILACS, em que se selecionou apenas estudos publicados entre 2016-2021, na língua portuguesa, inglesa. Foi possível perceber que grandes avanços foram alcançados no Brasil em termos de legislação e acesso universal e gratuito à terapia antirretroviral (TARV) desde a descoberta da AIDS, contudo, o sucesso terapêutico exige níveis elevados de adesão ao tratamento, que possui uma tendência maior quando a equipe multiprofissional conta com um farmacêutico que atua de forma clínica junto ao paciente. Assim, propõe-se mais conscientização sobre a necessidade de profissionais como o farmacêutico que está em linha de frente com seus conhecimentos farmacoterápicos no tratamento do HIV/AIDS.
A depressão vem atingindo uma considerável parte da população e representa uma das principais causas de incapacidade, resultando em aumento do uso de antidepressivos. Associações entre medicamentos podem ocasionar interações medicamentosas (IM), com potencial risco para o paciente. Acredita-se que a incidência de IM é de 3 a 5% em pacientes que usam menos de 4 medicamentos, atingindo 20% entre aqueles que usam de 10 a 20 medicamentos simultaneamente. Desta forma, o objetivo deste artigo é: Identificar as potenciais interações medicamentosas envolvendo antidepressivos tricíclicos e discutir a função do farmacêutico na prevenção e no manejo dessas interações. A metodologia adotada para o desenvolvimento deste estudo foi a pesquisa bibliográfica de cunho qualitativo descritivo, fundamentada em estudos já desenvolvidos. Para tal, buscou-se os materiais por meio das plataformas de pesquisa acadêmica online: Google Acadêmico, LILACS, Scielo, Periódicos CAPES e Pubmed, no período de 2013 a 2022 e as estratégias de busca foram baseadas nas combinações das palavras-chaves e nos idiomas português e inglês, e os operadores booleanos AND e OR. Verifiou-se que dentre os antidepressivos mais envolvidos em interações medicamentosas destaca-se os antidepressivos tricíclicos. Contudo, por meio da assistência farmacêutica, pode-se prevenir e detectar reações adversas relacionadas a interações medicamentosas, alertar os prescritores e sugerir eventuais mudanças na posologia ou no esquema terapêutico, colaborando para melhorar a eficácia e segurança da farmacoterapia.
