Bien que la diversité ethnoculturelle soit une réalité récente à l’école francophone en milieu minoritaire acadien, elle attire déjà l’attention des acteurs éducatifs, notamment en ce qui a trait à sa gestion pédagogique par les enseignantes et les enseignants. Cet article analyse le vécu d’enseignantes et d’enseignants francophones, tel qu’ils l’ont raconté, en ce qui concerne la gestion de la diversité ethnoculturelle en classe multiculturelle. Une analyse qualitative inspirée de la théorisation ancrée a été effectuée. Il ressort des résultats que la gestion de la diversité ethnoculturelle à l’école francophone du Nouveau-Brunswick se présente comme un nouvel enjeu pédagogique auquel le personnel enseignant tente d’apporter des solutions en matière de pratiques. En dépit des avantages de cette diversité, les résultats indiquent des défis institutionnels et pédagogiques liés notamment à la collaboration enseignants-parents et à la préparation à l’enseignement dans une classe multiculturelle. Pour faire face à ces défis, plusieurs pratiques sont mises en oeuvre par le personnel enseignant.Although ethnocultural diversity is a recent reality for francophone schools in Acadian minority communities, it has already attracted the attention of educational stakeholders, particularly with regard to its pedagogical management by teachers. This article analyses what francophone teachers say about their experience with the management of ethnocultural diversity in multicultural classrooms. The results of a qualitative analysis based on grounded theory show that the management of ethnocultural diversity in New Brunswick francophone schools presents a new pedagogical challenge for which teachers are trying to find practical solutions. Despite the advantages of this diversity, the results also indicate that there are institutional and pedagogical challenges related to parent-teacher collaboration and pedagogical preparation for teaching in a multicultural classroom. Approches inductivesRecours à la MTE pour une étude du vécu professionnel du personnel enseignant en lien avec la diversité ethnoculturelle à l'école francophone en milieu minoritaire
L’accueil et l’accompagnement des nouveaux arrivants dans leur processus d’établissement constituent l’une des préoccupations des acteurs sociaux et éducatifs de la province du Nouveau-Brunswick. Cet article présente les résultats d’une étude qui vise à comprendre les stratégies d’accueil, de sensibilisation et d’accompagnement déployées par les écoles francophones et les structures d’accueil pour intégrer les familles issues de l’immigration et leurs enfants ainsi que les enjeux entourant le partenariat possible entre ces deux sphères en matière d’intégration des personnes immigrantes. Pour ce faire, une série d’entrevues individuelles ont été menées auprès des directions d’école, du personnel enseignant, des membres d’organismes communautaires et des parents immigrants. L’analyse thématique des données recueillies a permis de dresser un portrait global des différentes stratégies mises en oeuvre par les écoles et les organismes non gouvernementaux (ONG) et communautaires en vue d’accompagner les élèves nouveaux arrivants et leurs familles. Les résultats montrent plusieurs éléments de satisfaction découlant de la collaboration entre les écoles et les organismes communautaires. Toutefois, l’appréciation de ce partenariat tacite par les directions d’écoles et les parents immigrants laisse voir plusieurs lacunes à combler.
